Rockin' Dave!
Avatar 2:41pm
Carmichael:

Confusing ... That was a Dave Edmunds solo album called Rockpile. And that was actually Edmunds playing piano (and everything else) on that song.

Re: Faces. So Woody went so quickly from cool to so-damned-annoying. Is that the diff between the effects of alcohol & to cocaine? Anyway looove Ronnie Lane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Dominick:

If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Stewart is all over this one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Dominick:

Not Rod
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm
Matt F:

Sly. Yup.
Avatar 2:52pm
Carmichael:

The alternative facts on Wikipedia suggest that the track played was recorded on the Rolling Stones mobile unit, engineered by Martin Birch. Production is credited to "The Faces". Is it generally acknowledged that Sly Stewart tweedled the knobs?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
Matt F:

Dominick was talking about the Bobby Freeman cut...
Avatar 2:54pm
Carmichael:

Oh, well then. Never mind ....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm
Matt F:

If he had been on the Faces session that would have been a great knife fight over the pile of cocaine in the lounge.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm
doctorjazz:

I thought Rockpile was Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe (from @Carmichael earlier on).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm
Matt F:

It was, but Edmunds had a solo album whose title was Rockpile, pre- Rockpile (the band).
Avatar 2:55pm
Carmichael:

There was a group Rockpile. There was also an Edmunds solo album called Rockpile. Chicken and egg thing, and confusing to me.
