The immediate precursors to the Blues via Slavery would be West African, generally. The largest continent - w/ about as many countries as we have states. These picks have the Arab flavor running thru them. Nothing is perfectly isolated of course. The similarities between Blues & Indian music fascinate me, for that matter...It's a whole World out there! :)
