PITCH was a series of four publications - #3 is the only one on cassette.#1 & #2 have articles on microtonality (including one of mine on a proposal for a microtonal MIDI standard), #4 has charts for microtonal fingering and techniques.

PITCH is also the name of the AFMM's CD label, distributed through CD Baby, mostly. The music is taken mostly from live recordings of AFMM concerts.

The poet of that Pudding piece is Richard Arthur Warren Hughes who, according to wikischmedia, attended Charterhouse School, which is where the guys from Genesis were educated. It also says, "He wrote only four novels..." What could that possibly mean? "Only" four novels?!

@JtoTheK: Part of what motivates microtonality is to really understand why you are playing what you are playing. Once you start questioning the authority of the Western Scale, it may lead to other similar authority-questioning moments.
But if you are talking about instrument performance techniques, these charts are mostly for wind instruments, and not only about cross fingerings but also tricks like you will hear later today from Pete Rose, taping over holes (sometimes partially), overblowing and in Mr. Rose's case circular breathing (on a soprano recorder).

It's funny how little time it takes before microtonal tunings sound completely normal. I remember the first time I heard Harry Partch's music, way back when I was in college, it sounded totally bizarre and "wrong" to me. Now his tunings seem completely natural and normal.
