Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:03pm Charlie:

Hello, Listening Out There (heretofore to be known as LOT). Glad to see you.
Avatar 12:04pm annie:

hi charlie..!! and OutThere
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Parq:

Hi, all. Y'know, my mind sorta feels like that picture looks. Sure looking forward to this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Charlie:

Hi annie! and Parq!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm Charlie:

In P.G. Wodehouse books, a "gargle" is slang for a drink. So, would anyone care to join me in for a gargle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Parq:

Had to post this sigh-inducing pic of Morgana King.
www.google.com...
Avatar 12:07pm βrian:

The sun isn't yet over the yard-arm here, so no gargling for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm Wendy del Formaggio:

This Jad Fair and Daniel Johnston version is far superior to the original.

And, Hi Charlie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm Parq:

Ah, now *my* fave version. There's kind of a secret society of fans of 801 Live.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Charlie:

Hi ßrian!
Hi Wendy!
Parq -- that's a great pic of Ms. King!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Wendy del Formaggio:

We are the 801!

I agree with Parq. 801 is great. Are great? Damn you, grammar!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm Charlie:

What is a yard-arm, anyway?
Avatar 12:13pm ndbob:

Hi Charlie and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Charlie:

hey there, ndbob! thanks for stopping by.
  12:14pm Listening Out There:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Charlie:

ty, LOT
and hello Michael!
Avatar 12:23pm still b/p:

Good afternoon. To get Wodehousian: You bet your lavender spats I'd join you for a gargle!
Rats, missed 801 TNK -- haven't heard in mega moons.
First glance read "Dump no waste -- brains to stream" even though we got those gutter notices all over the place around here reminding that it all drains to ocean.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Charlie:

hey still b/p :)
how about: drains to brain?
Avatar 12:26pm Carmichael:

Ahoy, Charlie and sailors. I could really stretch my gib to this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Uncle Michael:

The river is busy doing nothing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm northguineahills:

@Charlie: Well, it's not if I have to work, all i got is crappy beer, so, sure I'll join you in a gargle!
Avatar 12:27pm ndbob:

Hoagy's archives are in town here but I've never seen them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Charlie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:28pm Charlie:

Yard (sailing) - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yard_(sailing)
Wikipedia
"Sun over the yardarm" Ship Garthsnaid at sea. This phrase is widely used, both afloat and ashore, to indicate that the time of day has been reached at which it is acceptable, variously, to have lunch or (more commonly) to have an alcoholic beverage.
Avatar 12:30pm ndbob:

being Hoagy was from Bloomington
Avatar 12:32pm annie:

Hoagy has a winter birthday, i used to play an all-Hoagy show on my sunday show that week.
  12:34pm judy from croton:

Finally stumbled back onto the comments page. Long time no harrass!
Back to the tornado of an art classroom now, but best of everything to you. Charlie.
Avatar 12:34pm ndbob:

sounds great Annie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm Charlie:

Hoagies all around! (to go with our over-the-yard-arm beverages, natch)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Uncle Michael:

Hoagiefest?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Charlie:

hi judy! thanks for saying hi:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Parq:

Hoagy has at least two great movie cameos -- one in "To Have and Have Not" and one in "Topper". Anybody know of others?
  12:36pm judy from croton:

Sail on, sailors. Steady on the plumb line, by the sound of it.
Avatar 12:36pm still b/p:

As Cricket in To Have and Have Not...could be considered more than a cameo perhaps.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm northguineahills:

Never can go wrong w/ Esquivel....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Charlie:

speaking of "gib," Flash Strap is doing an all-Bee Gees special tonight on Explorers Room. "Walking Back to Waterloo: The Costume Dramas and Psychedelic Tragedies of the Brothers Gibb"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Charlie:

yes, good part in To Have and Have Not, great film
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Parq:

Ooh, speaking of Hoagy, did anyone else catch the "Am I Blue" reference in that Spike? Way to tie things together, Charlie!
  12:40pm jan:

Much merriment insues!
  12:40pm Listening Out There:

Wasn't that version of "The Blue Danube" used in the movie "2001"?
Avatar 12:41pm still b/p:

Also Spike Zarathustra.
Avatar 12:42pm βrian:

Interesting. I've always known the yardarm as the horizontal timber that extends from a barn's gable end, over the loft door. It's used to aid lifting loads up to the loft.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm doctorjazz:

Hey all, had to do something, just getting to Nothing.
Avatar 12:44pm Carmichael:

Please don't play the Osmonds' Down By the Lazy River.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Charlie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Charlie:

Hi Gaylord! Not sure if I have both oars in the water, or if I'm up a creek without a paddle, but I'm glad to be streaming!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Uncle Michael:

The sea refuses no stream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Gaylord Fields:

Wendy! Always happy to share a virtual space with you! Mwah!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Charlie:

"Sweet Thames Flow Softly was composed by Ewan McColl for a radio play about a London-based Romeo and Juliet."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Gaylord Fields:

Charlie, at least you're keeping it current.

Something something something estuary.

This show is on fire, like the Cuyahoga!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm Charlie:

Burn on, big river!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm northguineahills:

Stephen Foster never even visited Florida. I'm about 50 miles/80km east of the Suwanee....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm Charlie:
