Listener comments!

Avatar 9:10pm
Scraps deSelby:

The guitar opening is very familiar, to the point where I thought it was a different song; but I don't know Arlet. And of course, I forget the song that reminds me of. Yeah.
Avatar 9:10pm
Scraps deSelby:

And h'lo Irene, h'lo people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm
Irene Trudel:

'Alo to you too, Scraps! Guess us just the two of us here. Always like playing things that are familiar and not at the same time.

Ken From Hyde Park:

N'yello! A little late to the party, but glad to be here.

Hi Ken and Rev. Rabbit! Just fishing out there for listeners. I'm a little slow to post tonight myself.

This song is really pretty Irene.

Irene, your show brought me out of a short nap in a very nice way, dozed off during phonograph and woke up here

Your music-behind-dj (Jon Hassel) is my favorite track of its year

I might, Dave.

strawbs exist?! cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm
Irene Trudel:

Yes, The Strawbs are still around. Just saw them play a gig in Whippany, NJ this past Sunday. Sure made me smile! I posted a few pictures on my FB page.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm
Irene Trudel:

The Strawbs have a few more US gigs coming up www.strawbsweb.co.uk...

Cliff:

If anyone wants to hear a ghost story, I found out about a month ago that the previous occupant of my apartment was a WWII veteran who died of cancer. I got some mail for him out of the blue and looked his name up online, and he's listed as still living at my address, at the age of 92....but I also found his obituary, he died in 2007.
  10:30pm
Cliff:

That's why I'm doing the sage smudging.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

I tend to mix up The Straubs with The Sherbs. The rock station in my college town would play "The Skill" from The Sherbs.
  10:33pm
JakeGould:

Those sites that state someone’s age even if they are dead are just clickbait. They purposefully flaw the data to get you—or anyone—to fork over some $$$ to see the full/more accurate info. No need for smudge sticks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34pm
coelacanth:

i heard this song on the radio when i was about 11. went to the lending library and they didn't have this album, but had "bursting at the seams", which i recorded onto an 8-track tape. i loved it...and i still have it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:36pm
coelacanth:

("this song" - i mean the Strawbs song.)
  10:38pm
Cliff:

Well there was a lot of other stuff going on for the past six years I was living here, that was just the icing on the cake. Just covering my bases before I move out next month.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm
Irene Trudel:

Wow, that's creepy, Cliff! Hope there are no lingering ghosts after this.

If nothing else, the scent of sage is very calming. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm

Yes, coelacanth! Bursting at the Seams was probably the first album I discovered by The Strawbs. Maybe I'll play one of those tracks too.
Avatar 10:41pm

One thing I hate about living in the NE: Apt controls when they switch on AC or heat for everyone. This SUCKS. Not that way down south. No heat no for about a week and I'm freezing. Frigging global warming.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm
coelacanth:

none of those dates are near me. Irene are you ukrainian? - not that a non-ukrainian can't see a show at the ukrainian center...just curious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42pm

Cliff, i'm glad you're smudging.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm

If it's any consolation, Van, NYC hasn't been much better. A glimmer of heat last week, now it's back to chilly nights and no apt. heat.
