performance.

Margaret gets better with age...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12am Guido from Cologne:

Guess this is Charles Stepney arranging.
Some Minnie Riperton in the vocal section?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13am pacific standard simon:

No one is guaranteed tomorrow -- not you nor I.
Avatar 6:14am fxo:

could've been, Guido.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22am Sem Chumbo:

Further out, man. Morning, FXO, and hello to the coterie of fleeting Moments assembled here, from all over.
Avatar 6:22am BEAVO:

Avatar 6:25am BEAVO:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26am pacific standard simon:

Mr. Pip: Heaven? Whatever gave you the idea you were in Heaven, Mr. Valentine? This *is* the other place!
[laughs malevolently]
Avatar 6:27am BEAVO:

Pretty sure that one never made it to CD like Shatner and Nimoy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am pacific standard simon:

Sebastian Cabot > Wiliam Shatner
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27am Ken From Hyde Park:

That was Mr. French reciting Bob Dylan?
Avatar 6:29am fxo:

p.s. simon: too deep, at this hour.

Mr. French was much more esoteric than Shatner, IMHO.
Avatar 6:31am BEAVO:

Great father that Brian Kieth was leaving his kids to be raised by Mr French. Actor.
Avatar 6:34am BEAVO:

He also does Who Killed Davey Moore with Spanish style trumpets in the background
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35am pacific standard simon:

That Twilight Zone episode starring Cabot as a demon with his beard bleached white was seriously disturbing when I saw it in rerun at the same time that he was acting as Mr. French.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am Sem Chumbo:

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, I think, was another Sebastian Cabot vehicle, eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36am pacific standard simon:

No, that was Edwin Muir.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37am Sem Chumbo:

I was wrong about Mr. Cabot, turns out it was Edward Mulhare.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38am pacific standard simon:

er, edward mulhare
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38am pacific standard simon:

or Rex Harrison...
Avatar 6:39am fxo:

circle gets the square.
Avatar 6:39am BEAVO:

No that was Daniel Mulhare
Avatar 6:40am fxo:

or Muir Woods, brother of James?
Avatar 6:40am BEAVO:

Ain't lMDB great?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am pacific standard simon:

Better than our memories, buddy.
Avatar 6:43am BEAVO:

Don't know why I said Daniel
  6:45am Cooh John:

Good morning, fxo and momenteers. Looks like I missed a few interesting moments. Surely more to come with this crew on hand.
  6:51am Billy London:

I'm really feeling this set, great tunes
Avatar 6:52am fxo:

happy to oblige, Billy.
  6:57am Billy London:

Can any of you recommend which album to start with the high llamas? Every time I hear them I adore them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57am pacific standard simon:

BTW, the original 1947 movie of The Ghost And Mrs. Muir was engaging and entertaining all the way through. Recommended.
Avatar 6:58am fxo:

Start with this new one, and tons of their other albums.
  6:59am Billy London:

Awesome thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04am pacific standard simon:

It's 4 am here -- going to bed.
Avatar 7:07am fxo:

sweet dreams. Remember, this webcast will be available as an archive, later, for-ever...
  7:09am Eric Hat:

Morning fxo and all. Only fifty one sixty second moments left in this work week for me!
Avatar 7:11am Scraps deSelby:

I like the second through the fourth albums - Hawaii, Gideon Gaye, Cold and Bouncy - all three of them are very good and consistent. (High Llamas)
  7:12am SeanG:

this Barry Adamson record is great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30am Sem Chumbo:

Bangin' second set, Frank. Thought it was the caffeine makin' me jumpy, but it's the spins. Gracias, SeƱor Spin.
  7:31am Billy London:

Thanks for the additional llama info,I might try and catch them live this may in London
Avatar 7:32am pp:

Yup, Barry Adamson is great, such a rich voice with so much character.
Avatar 7:33am fxo:

Thanks, Sem & pp. Glad you're hangin'.
Avatar 7:36am annie:

good morning all, guess i slept in !!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36am Polyus:

Wow, don't think I have heard that Wendy and Lisa song since it was first out, and yet it came back to me instantly. Very catchy.
Avatar 7:36am Scraps deSelby:

Adamson was an awesome bass player in Magazine, too. "About the Weather", for instance; amazing.
Avatar 7:38am fxo:

annie: more to come.

Thanks, Eric, Polyus, and Scraps, as well.
Avatar 7:42am Scraps deSelby:

Probably the worst Beatles song (Run for you life)
Avatar 7:50am Scraps deSelby:

Love that Primal Scream song! Aw yeah
Avatar 7:52am Scraps deSelby:

What did you, what did you expect??
Avatar 8:03am Scraps deSelby:

It was so great that they revived Dusty Springfield's career. She's great.
Avatar 8:07am Scraps deSelby:

This is a great Moby Grape song, too!
Avatar 8:08am Scraps deSelby:

Happy!

Thanks, fxo!
Avatar 8:13am Scraps deSelby:

There's a Negro Problem song called "I'm Sebastian Cabot". Not one of their best, but still, it's there.
  8:26am P-90:

So if only Sebastian Cabot had done a spoken-word record called "The Negro Prnoblem", everything would be perfectly symmetrical. Good morning Frank, sounding great as usual.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27am Ken From Hyde Park:

I see that Singer Billy Paul has passed away at age 80. His big song was "Me and Mrs. Jones" back in 1972.
Avatar 8:28am Scraps deSelby:

Oh, that's too bad
Avatar 8:28am fxo:

hey there, P-90, maybe you & Scraps can collaborate.

Thanks Ken, for keeping me updated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am Goyim in the AM:

The version of this that I played on is SO much better, but JT hates me.
Avatar 8:29am Scraps deSelby:

JENNY TOOMEY!
Avatar 8:30am Scraps deSelby:

Ahem. I like her.
Avatar 8:31am fxo:

Jenny is the bomb!
Avatar 8:33am Scraps deSelby:

And I so much like her album of Franklin Bruno songs
Avatar 8:39am Wild Neil:

PEACE everybody, Frank et al...
Avatar 8:48am fxo:

back atcha Neil.

Now to remember:
as per usual:
afore it's too late, Keep the faith, friends... What an insane time that we live in.
This archive will be up on the FMU website, in a few hours, for a long time.
Catch it when you can.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am Goyim in the AM:

NB: I played on the first recording of Word Traffic, Simple Machines fanatics already have a 50& shot at who I am...
Avatar 8:49am fxo:

do tell...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am northguineahills:

Before I forget, thanks Frank! Been awhile since i caught you live. Been here since Jenny Toomey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am Sem Chumbo:

Grateful for the love you show the show, FXO, and all the music you bring to us. See you again next time,
if the Fates allow.
Avatar 8:52am fxo:

your welcome, northguineahills.

Sem, to you, as well.

and thanks for the cool comments, everybody.
Avatar 8:52am pp:

Tindersticks kind of channeling Morphine ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Goyim in the AM:

JT recorded a much faster louder version of Word Traffic with Slack, in which I played -- but JT and I had a falling out before mixing, so my playing is only audible about half of the time -- Word Traffiic is one of the ones you can hear me well on.
