@annie: I took advantage of a recent trip to Portland, OR, to upgrade to an iPhone at last. Succumbed to frustration at tweeting & texting while at a conference there via a Wi-Fi-reliant iPod and a fliphone--argh! Apple Store 2 blocks from the conference venue and no Oregon sales tax. And I gleefully cycled that saved $$$ locally into Powell's Books. :)
