I had occasion to visit your and Tony's fine city last week and came damn close to making myself a permanent resident! Was in for a conference so couldn't range forth and scout out the esteemed Mr. Coulter on this trip, but I have got to get my ass back to Portland again someday!

@Rich, somewhere in the WFMU archives there's a recording of the radio transmissions preceding and following an honest-to-God train wreck. It's a chilling bit of found sound and I wonder if Flynn's heard this if he's actually that into train accidents. In this case it was a runaway train that somehow either crashed or was arrested. Conductor survived. Tense, gripping stuff.

Mark Williams:

what with all the JA dub running riot in the UK around this time, I would've loved to see a JA soundsystem thrown this track down late one night. Though that might've caused some problems.

I found one of those old-timey cut-your-own records that people would make in drugstores, etc. that had some old guy singing Xmas carols and it ends in an unintentional locked groove right in the middle of Silent Night, so he's just going 'Oooh' forever. It's pretty goofy.
