Hello Jeff.
Mauri, has Spring started over your way?
Avatar 3:21am
terribilia:

what a lovely tune
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23am
Brian in UK:

Jeff, Gunga Din by The Byrd's is an old favourite that seems to get missed off the comps. Timeless flight.
Avatar 3:23am
Jeff Conklin:

Morning, Brian and Terribilia. One of my favorite tunes there. Great version too!
Avatar 3:24am
Jeff Conklin:

@Brain: I LOVE THAT TUNE SO MUCH

Brian it sort of started but this week is the usual cold week before it gets warm again. Im guessing. last week we had days +7C and now its around -3... -10 . any better in uk?
Avatar 3:36am
Jeff Conklin:

@Bentangle: Indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39am

Normally working at this time. Got the day off.
Right time of night for Mr Martyn.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40am
Caryn:

Snowing this morning, now lovely and sunny. Perfect weather for this music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am
Brian in UK:

Well mauri, it keeps teasing us that Spring is here. The blossom on the tree outside has been there for three weeks, normally lasts one week. Very odd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42am
Brian in UK:

Love the crackles,Jeff.
Avatar 3:42am
Jeff Conklin:

Where's that, Caryn?

Morning Jeff. Folks.

franny:

I almost thought this song was "gargage everywhere" and I had to double check this wasn't garbage time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44am
Caryn:

Finland, Jeff.
  3:45am
franny:

I meant garbage everywhere. slow morning.
Avatar 3:46am
Jeff Conklin:

@Franny: You must be the first person to ever say that. Congrats.

Pharoah is perfect post-marathon music
Avatar 3:46am
Jeff Conklin:

@Caryn: Nice. We have some snow here but no sun in sight...
Avatar 3:47am
Jeff Conklin:

There wasn't so much as a cookie left from the marathon when I got here. I'm pissed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am
Smilty69:

Here's a cookie by way of compliment, great show.
Avatar 3:49am
Jeff Conklin:

@Smilty: That's my favorite kind. And no calories. Thanks.

Morning, Tomasz.

Just found out that Adele is playing Glastonbury. What an alternative festival that is. Think I will stick with WFMU.
Avatar 3:54am
Jeff Conklin:

I've yet to hear Adele but hasn't Glastonbury been bullshit since forever?

Music festivals are awful on that level no matter what. I learned recently people got to SXSW for "fun". Blows my mind...
Avatar 3:56am
Bentangle:

Hopscotch festival looks fun, that's about the only one I'd really want to go to.
Avatar 3:59am
Bentangle:

Specifically the Threelobed event ...
  4:07am
ZAX:

UK people, c'mon. TUSK, Color Out Of Space, Counterflows, Tectonics?
These are AMAZING festivals. Premium choice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am
Nasty Les:

@ZAX - yeah, those are good ones. Supersonic too. The Instal festival always used to be good as well, but I guess that doesn't exist anymore since The Arches in Glasgow shut down.
  4:14am
John in Texas:

Good morning all! I'm curious, do we have any other listeners from Texas?
Avatar 4:15am
Bentangle:

So Jeff what are your thoughts on this National-curated Dead tribute album?
Avatar 4:16am
Jeff Conklin:

@Bentangle:

Honestly, I haven't even looked at the tracklist.

That being said, it pales in comparison to what my friends put together..
  4:17am
John in Texas:

SXSW is the worst and Austin isn't much better. What about the Big Ear Festival, isn't it legit?
  4:22am
ZAX:

@nastyles @brianUk the point is that there are really exqusite music festivals, which also expand the notion of what a festival might be like. And at that Instal was groundbreaking, but COOS and Tectonics are both also wayward trips.
And also Sonic Protest in France (paging Fred. Fred???)
Avatar 4:22am
Bentangle:

Ahhh but does your friend's have Mumford & Sons?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47am
Brian in UK:

With me it probably boils down to the fact that I never cared much for camping after one week in the scouts
Avatar 4:47am
Jeff Conklin:

I love camping. I just don't need to camp and see Jandek on the Pepsi stage
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51am
Goyim in the AM:

In other words, you're finished with the tent and Ready for the House.
  4:58am

Christ. I love this Tuluum Shimmering track. Thank you.
Avatar 4:59am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:00am

Avatar 5:01am
Jeff Conklin:

Morning, Wynford.

Thanks for the support.
  5:05am
John in Texas:

(Excerpt)......just how long is this Tuluum Shimmering cover?
Avatar 5:05am
Jeff Conklin:

@John: 53 minutes.
  5:06am
Eric Hat:

Not sure. I've listened to and loved Karma since high school in the nineties. That and one other are the only albums I've heard. Which album is it from?
  5:07am
JoeRay:

Good morning Jeff and listeners. Question, I pledged a $10.00 a month Swag for life, but on the comments board it does not show that. I'm getting nervous that my pledge did not get in the system. Anyone know how that works?
  5:07am
tomasz.:

which of you guys are going to Counterflows next month then?
  5:09am
tomasz.:

frankly i also ride for ATP despite their deeply questionable organisational skills
  5:11am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12am

Avatar 5:13am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50am

Jeff, like the mix but that is what makes this station so irresistible.
Avatar 5:56am
