Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm
listener james from westwood:

I have her book on interlibrary loan. Eager to read it on its own and in comparison w/ Kim Gordon's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

If I were closer and if it fit my schedule, I'd love to go. Please give us a report next week.
  1:24pm
Nate K:

I saw Sleater-Kinney play with Storm & Stress at a coffee shop in Pittsburgh in 1995. It was such an odd show. People in Pittsburgh were incredibly psyched for Storm & Stress (it was their first show, and Don Caballero ruled that town back then), and the room completely cleared out when they were done. I think Sleater-Kinney played to 9 people.

Jeff Golick:

Always love it when Simpsons characters trip, whether on sugar or anything else.
  1:29pm
Hackensack Slim:

"Whoa, that's good Squishy." as well as "Egghead likes his Booky Wook." Two of my all time favorite Simpson quotes.
  1:29pm
Nate K:

I wonder if that heavy-handedness (which bothers me too) is a legal thing... so they just lay it on thick.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm
Jeff Golick:

Please give us a Hibbert laugh, Amanda?
Avatar 1:31pm
steve:

Egghead likes his book-y book! is such a classic line
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

They rip in the Crocodile Dundee scene. Hans Moleman: "You call that a knife?" and pulls out a big machete. It's so big, he tips over. "Uh oh! Down I go!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm
listener james from westwood:

New York, New York, it's a helluva town
The Bronx is up and the Battery's down
The mimes are food for the rats underground
New York, New York, it's a wonderful town!
