I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

I just watched the mating leopard slugs video. Beautiful! Reminds me of some of the beautiful science films by Jean Painlevé, the ones that Yo La Tengo scored music for. There are some amazing underwater creatures in those films.

@Mayuko: A quick run for a few days down to Atlantic City. Won a bit of next year's Marathon contribution!

Hijokaidan used a photo of mating snails (that, or domestic quarreling snails, hard to tell) on the reverse of one of its jewel cases: http://www.discogs.com/Hijokaidan-Windom/master/722860#images/9238757

"Chant De Louanges Avec Guitare Et Voix (Femme)" means "Songs of praise with guitar and voice (female)". Some praise should go your way, your show is such a staple for me. I never hear it live, but I always catch up. Thanks again for the Okinawa song, but that's only the tip of the iceberg as to why I love your show
Avatar 6:45pm
Mayuko:

Thanks fred, it's always really encouraging to know that you're there and listening. That okinawan comp is pretty fun stuff! Always a pleasure to play music from there, and more coming!
