How do, Amanda and all!! Now I really want to go to a friend's lake house.

I used to water ski. Only "sport" i was good at.

ndbob:

afternoon Amanda and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
Jeff Golick:

I tried water skiing for the first time last summer, at age 46. It didn't go well. I did clear my nasal passages with lake water, so that was cool. I'll stick to the snow thing now, thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
doctorjazz:

Hi all, never could water ski myself, kept going down...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm
Amanda:

Good afternoon to all! And welcome!

MONEYBAG$:

Good afternoon, Amanda and waterskiing squirrel
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06pm
Dominick:

wow!
Avatar 12:06pm
KP:

Yes, Jeff i tried it again, much later, when i had a boat. It did not go well, to borrow your assessment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:08pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Our neighbor took us waterskiing once as teenagers. The nut-head went top speed, so it hurt plenty when you'd wipe out.
  12:08pm
Sean:

Aloha, all.
  12:08pm
MONEYBAG$:

Fun fact: when I was 5, I thought the references to cats in Lovin' Spoonful songs were literal
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm
Nate K:

I think this is my favorite Can record. Maybe Monster Movie. I don't know...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm
listener james from westwood:

IIRC Station Mgr Ken is a veteran water skier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm
Dominick:

My only waterskiing experience was senior year of HS and was my introduction to wacky tobacky.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm

Diggin' the fact that the various '15 Marathon premiums are getting airplay.

Is this Fox on the Run by the Osbourne Bros.?
Avatar 12:26pm
northguineahills:

Didn't expect this to be Mitch Easter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
Amanda:

Always very odd to me that there's more than one song titled "Fox On the Run."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm
Mike East:

Production value is so great on these Michael Shelley premiums...must be so much work to get all the bands to record and then to have it all sound cohesive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
Uncle Michael:

This song's a little better when you can't understand the words.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm
listener james from westwood:

The lack of accent made me think it was Esperanto!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Nate K:

That's funny, I work the other way. If I hear something someone owns and I like it, I have to go buy it. I need to completely isolate myself to stop buying records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Uncle Michael:

I'm coming to terms with the fact that I no longer give a flip about physical media...except for liner notes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm
Amanda:

I care!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm
Uncle Michael:

I know lots of people care.
Avatar 12:47pm

Hood!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Amanda:

But when I check out other people's records, more often they will have things I like enough to find one or two tracks of to play on the show, not to own. Most record collections I come across in the wild are not used often, or they are the owner's parents', or something
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm
Nate K:

I can appreciate that Uncle Mike, but for me the physical product is sort of like what the baseball card is to appreciating the game. If that makes any sense...
  12:52pm
MONEYBAG$:

oh for god's sake, I took a phone call from work on my day off and missed my favorite Hood song?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:53pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

A co-worker with a boat occasionally took us out to waterski on the Hudson, out of Kingston. That water is highly murky.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm
Uncle Michael:

Nate, I totally understand the attachment to physical media. I both envy and do not envy people that have that gene...if that makes sense.
  12:56pm
Dean:

Digital storage *is* a physical medium!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm
Uncle Michael:

Dean, that's true. But My hard drives have the same mass, full and empty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm
listener james from westwood:

I am not a fan of the Sesame Street/HBO deal, but I am a fan of that Turk Murphy cut.
