I am perfectly disposed just now to smart moody singer-songwriter Folk - I suppose even the lugubrious genius of Dylan's divorce period...

Bonjour Jeff !
great GM Wallis, reminds me of the Caretaker
Avatar 3:51am
Jeff Conklin:

I don't know the Caretaker. Wallis was in Whitehouse. That jam is from 1980. And good morning, Pierre

Merci Jeff, well then it's probably Wallis influencing The Caretaker… His album "An Empty Bliss Beyond This World" is worth a listen (it's the only one I listened entirely) it has a massive emphases on the loop side of music. I like the fact that it sounds like it's coming from the inside of a whale.

pressing the volume UP for this Mission Papua Holland, what Ike said.

Chicken Thighs In Tomato Sauce

Serves 2-3

Ingredients:

6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 1/2 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1 (14 ounce) can diced plum tomatoes
1/3 packed cup brown sugar (or honey)
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
salt & pepper

Directions:

1. Pat dry the chicken thighs with paper towels, then brown with oil in Dutch oven over medium high heat. Remove and set aside.
2. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, and saute the onions, garlic, thyme and pepper flakes about 4-5 minutes. Do not burn.
3. Add the diced tomatoes, brown sugar (or honey), cider vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine and bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, return chicken to Dutch oven, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
4. Remove from heat and stir in mustard, then add salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with starch of choice: noodles, rice, potatoes, or crusty bread.

welp, if you really want to know, Dylan says, "Sift salt and flour together, then mix with the remaining dry ingredients. Add the figs, lemon rind and juice, milk, and beaten eggs. Beat well. Mixture should have a soft dropping consistency. Put into a greased 2 pint pudding basin, cover securely and steam for 3 hours. I like it served with heated golden syrup topping, and a generous pour of custard – makes me hungry just talking about it. My engineer Tex Carbone likes vanilla ice cream on it; I don't understand that at all.”

Jeff, if you want to switch to a King Crimson track each show, rather than a Grateful Dead track each show, I would gladly support that.
