Good saturday Bob. Sounding fine.
  9:16am William:

Always liked the Grease Band LP. Sorry to hear about Bruce Rowland.
Avatar 9:33am BEAVO:

Whiter Shade of pale was actually a single it wasn't on the original pressing of the album. But was added later.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:33am Mike East:

I just picked up another Spooky Tooth album from the record shop last week
Avatar 9:34am BEAVO:

Spooky Two is the best one.
Avatar 9:37am BEAVO:

Greg Ridley left to form Humble Pie after that. And the original band fell apart
  9:41am William:

Will they ever release Brian's soundtrack for "A Degree of Murder"?
Avatar 9:42am BEAVO:

Pretty sure it's vibraphone.
Avatar 9:44am Nanker de Tucson:

Thank you for Between The Buttons tune, BobB !
  9:45am Doug Wieselman:

Bob
I'm a big fan of your show. Thanks for all the great music - It's vibraphone on "Yesterday's Papers" - you can hear the metal at one point in the 2nd half of the record where he sort of misses a note and you just hear the metal. Rock on !
Avatar 9:46am BEAVO:

In the Rolling Stones rock and roll Circus movie the scene with Mick and John. John refers to it as I want to hold your man
Avatar 9:55am BEAVO:

You can also hear the rotating fans on YP
Avatar 9:56am BEAVO:

Of course it should be called a tremaphone.

Makes aliens heads explode
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05am Mike East:

@BEAVO - That's the one I got (Spooky 2)! The other one I have is The Mirror, which I quite like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Fuzzy:

We Five had a minor hit with "Let's Get Together" a few years before the Youngbloods took it to #1 in '69, and just before Bev Bivens left the band and disappeared for about 30 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am SeanG:

Go man GO!
  10:17am Stuart Rose:

Hey, Mike East, I love your referring to picking up that Spooky Tooth " from the record shop". As if those treasure houses still dotted the cityscape.

Why did Keith Richard, all those years later, give such short shrift to Brian Jones' contributions? I mean, in Richard's book. I imagine that Keith really couldn't suffer Jones as a person.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am melinda:

I'm really enjoying the Glen Campbell instrumentals.
  10:21am Doug Poswencyk:

Great show as always Bob. Thanks for starting my Saturdays off right. I have very little interest in post Brian Jones Stones. Love the early Stones.
Thanks for playing these cuts. For me, Jones was the Stones. Great stuff! And thanks for playing Eric Dolphy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am Mike East:

@Stuart - it was actually a used book store with a record shop in the back. I'm lucky to be in walking distance of such a rare beast these days.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:30am SeanG:

diggin this tune
Avatar 10:40am purpleknif:
