If it's all music, that should be terrifying, @Jake. I'll have to see how much of it I can stand. I'm predicting that I last about a minute. Heh!

Einselganger was on Casablanca, was it not?

Dude, this is the strangest thing--I grew up near Detroit, and SRC used to get quite a bit of airplay locally, especially "Black Sheep." I heard he died recently, and I picked up a great CD with all 3 of their albums on it. And today YOU'RE PLAYING IT! Some obscure band from Detroit that hasn't made a record in 45 years! WTF?
Avatar 3:54pm
Cheri Pi:

that's crazy Mark

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

SRC - very interesting I know *nothing* about this Psych band on the scene w/ MC5 &tc. Heard a track posted in a fb group - this one I think!: Made me think of Vanilla Fudge w/ the organ - but not - more like Morgen from NYC (whom I love) as that portentous & somewhat doomy Post-Summer of Love Psych - & that interesting place between Psych & Metal a tiny bit too (Frijid Pinks & things)...

please please change this music.. this repetitive 2 chord thing is just terrible.
  4:43pm
P-90:

@V.Priceless: In addition to the worthiness of things like "Cellophane Symphony", just think of the five or six huge hits top-ten hits they had during the sixties, and how weirdly idiosyncratic each one is, and how completely different they all are one from another.

IF: by any chance you haven't heard Dave the Spazz'z interview with Tommy J. from a few years back, check it out on the archive...

cliff - nick drake requires no repeated listenings to love. but it does get better each time. except for pink moon, which was used in a volkswagon commercial. i may never listen to that again.

I gotta be in the right mood for Nick Drake. Conveniently, I am in that mood now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm
Marcel M:

His finger picking is incredible. I read that he had such bad stage fright that he would face away from the booth when he recorded. Tragic guy.. he was also never fully accepted in the "folk" scene of the time in England, because he was different and wasn't "blue collar" enough or something. But he was miles a head of any of those idiots anyway.
