NYC kids always had a special fascination for Old English Sheepdogs, one of the few breeds utterly unthinkable to try to keep in an apartment, therefore suffused with the allure of the unobtainable, in addition to all their other uber-coolness

There has to be some sort of internet thing where people watch the Evil Dead movies today, right? If not I'm gonna start it.

Carmichael:

Here's what I found, UM: "Telling a classic truck driver’s lament, Lowe originally wrote “Endless Grey Ribbon” for his Rockpile bandmate Dave Edmunds, who was recording his own album Repeat When Necessary simultaneously during Labour of Lust sessions. In the end, Lowe was so fond of the song he took it back for his own record. "

From 2 YouTube videos I take it waaay too many showed than the 400 allowed upstairs at Union Square Barnes & Noble Friday, Feb 13, to see Matt Groening (birthday 2/15) . . . . . who only spoke a meager 4 minutes . . . . so as to begin a 7-hour book-signing marathon, cause he drew a character in your book, as well, see:

Amanda:

@cj: Thanks for sharing! I considered going to that -- if only to tell him "hey, you know I talk about you on my radio show ALL THE TIME" -- but had a feeling it would be a clusterfudge like that. Similar to years and years ago when I went to that same place to see Kurt Vonnegut. I saw the mob and just turned and went home. But I hope those who went had fun and each cherishes their drawing.
