	12:39am JakeGould: It’s science fiction. All time travel books, TV shows and films are science fiction. But the focus is so much on the human aspect without the “nerdy” specifics that people forget it.

"Give My Regards to Broad Street"? Shortly I'll remember the big song from it.

	1:37am BadGuyZero: I created a Sour Patch Kids-flavored potato chip. Last year Lays wouldn't accept my entry because one of the ingredients was children. Apparently that's not an issue this year.
	1:39am JakeGould: So you mean “Sour Patch Kids” flavored Lays is made from children who eat “Sour Patch Kids?” Or just “Sour Patch Kids” themselves?
	1:42am BadGuyZero: The ingredients of Sour Patch Kids potato chips are sweet, sour and children.
	1:43am rw: Sounds pretty delicious but I don't eat children. Would they be made with actual children or with children flavor?

	1:47am BadGuyZero: Lays didn't ask me to specify whether real children or faux children would be included. Last year when I tried to enter the flavor I received a message stating that my entry couldn't be accepted; they gave me a number to call to discuss the matter. When I called the person said that it was the children ingredient that was causing the issue.
	1:48am BadGuyZero: The moral of the story is that if you get on the phone and talk to a human you can include children as an ingredient in snack food.
	1:50am BadGuyZero: This is probably the point when you wish that you could "Groundhog Day" the first hour of tonight's show [because I was asleep then].

	2:06am JakeGould: Might have been Danne D. But gotta let that OCD urge pass… Too unhealthy to just play “Mr. Do” endlessly. But to play it on a real machine and get the initials up there. Damn! Will see about visiting JC to make a “Mr. Do” mark on the world. Even if it is Barcade, I gotta be realistic about where arcade games are nowadays.

	2:07am BadGuyZero: I looked up Mr. Do. How has that escaped me? I'm almost 45; the prime age for having spent a significant amount of time in a video arcade during my youth.
	♥ 2:07am Therese: BGZ- It's kind of like Lawnmower Man meets Pac Man. Sort of? JakeGould, correct me if I'm wrong.
	2:07am JakeGould: It’s like “Dig Dug” meets “Pac Man.”
	2:09am JakeGould: Mr. Do is a clown who is trapped in a hellscape green world where he must kill red dinosaurs that chase him or harvest cherries to complete a level. He can dig in the grass and dig under apples to kill the dinosaurs. There are subtle nuances to what you can do, but that’s the basic premise… And when you get past level 10 the screen says “WONDERFUL!” and that’s it. Oh, also digitized version of the “Can Can” is the background music.
	♥ 2:10am Fuzzy: That Barcade looks like a swell place...I could make that a part of some future 'FMU Field Trip someday!
	♥ 2:11am Fuzzy: Maybe they'll be able to find a working Zaxxon game by then!
	2:11am JakeGould: Fuzzy, they are a mini-chain in the tri-state area. All of the games are in pristine condition. The one in Williamsburg is surreal. It]s just so clean and all the games work. And you can drink.
	2:12am BadGuyZero: The arcade in my town was lousy. It had weird knock-off versions of games. Donkey Kong was Crazy Kong. The Space Invaders knock-off was called Space Invaders II. Gameplay was pretty much identical but the colors were vastly different.
	2:13am JakeGould: BGZ, the neighborhood I grew up in Brooklyn had sketchy knock-offs also. I first played the knock off “Bite Monster” before ever playing “Pac Man.”
	2:14am BadGuyZero: I have heard from reputable sources that the JC Barcade has a Sinistar machine. Someday I will actually set foot in there to find out.

	2:15am BadGuyZero: My friends never want to go to Barcade. It's like Lucky 7 is the only bar in JC.

	2:17am JakeGould: Just did a sweep of all the Barcade locations. Jersey City is the only one with “Mr. Do.” Gotta “Do” it.
	2:17am BadGuyZero: Barcade pretty much serves as the "cross the street now so you don't cross paths with the Cookies & Crepes creep" point.

	2:19am BadGuyZero: The only place in the town where I grew up that had "real" [not knockoff] video games was Swensen's ice cream parlor. They had a sit-down Asteroids machine. But you had to bring a note from your parents stating that it was ok for you to play video games.
	♥ 2:21am Therese: BGZ- I like Lucky's, but if you don't have a seat, it's miserable.
	2:22am BadGuyZero: Swensen's also had a jukebox. I have no idea how many times I played Olivia Newton-John's "Magic" on the jukebox. It was a whole bunch of times.
	2:22am JakeGould: BGZ, interesting to hear other people’s videogame experiences. I grew up near Coney Island so that place was always legit. But I played tons of games in odd—and honestly sketchy—storefronts that were actually fronts as a kid. I’m actually working on mapping the locations. You can’t have arcade game in a normal store anymore due to anti gambling/gaming rule nonsense.

	2:26am BadGuyZero: @Jake: There was a convenience store [Stop n Go] that eventually got a Dragon's Lair machine. I guess it did ok business because they added a Sinistar machine a few months after DL appeared.

	2:49am BadGuyZero: ONJ has some sort of ongoing residency at a casino in Las Vegas now. She does an occasional show outside of Vegas, but for the most part you have to go to LV to see her. If her Vegas show is anything like the Cleveland show expect hit-after-hit for 90 minutes.

	2:09am JakeGould: Mr. Do is a clown who is trapped in a hellscape green world where he must kill red dinosaurs that chase him or harvest cherries to complete a level. He can dig in the grass and dig under apples to kill the dinosaurs. There are subtle nuances to what you can do, but that’s the basic premise… And when you get past level 10 the screen says “WONDERFUL!” and that’s it. Oh, also digitized version of the “Can Can” is the background music.

	2:11am JakeGould: Fuzzy, they are a mini-chain in the tri-state area. All of the games are in pristine condition. The one in Williamsburg is surreal. It]s just so clean and all the games work. And you can drink.
	2:12am BadGuyZero: The arcade in my town was lousy. It had weird knock-off versions of games. Donkey Kong was Crazy Kong. The Space Invaders knock-off was called Space Invaders II. Gameplay was pretty much identical but the colors were vastly different.
	2:13am JakeGould: BGZ, the neighborhood I grew up in Brooklyn had sketchy knock-offs also. I first played the knock off “Bite Monster” before ever playing “Pac Man.”
	2:14am BadGuyZero: I have heard from reputable sources that the JC Barcade has a Sinistar machine. Someday I will actually set foot in there to find out.

	2:19am BadGuyZero: The only place in the town where I grew up that had "real" [not knockoff] video games was Swensen's ice cream parlor. They had a sit-down Asteroids machine. But you had to bring a note from your parents stating that it was ok for you to play video games.

But I played tons of games in odd—and honestly sketchy—storefronts that were actually fronts as a kid. I’m actually working on mapping the locations. You can’t have arcade game in a normal store anymore due to anti gambling/gaming rule nonsense.
