Golem's Cathartic Klezmer Rock Alchemy

Hear this show now: Pop-up listen Pop-up player! | Add or read comments

Supercharged klezmer-rockers Golem have always pushed the traditions forward with their thrashy style and theatricality. But in the past their M.O. has mainly been to interpret classic Yiddish songs in their own style.

That changes with the band's new release Tanz (Corason Digital) produced by Tony Maimone of Pere Ubu fame - which features mostly original material. We think they do a great job of it and we hope you'll agree when Golem rocks WFMU's Studio B tonight on Transpacific Sound Paradise!

Huge thanks to Golem's illustrious engineer Serena Rockower and WFMU's own equally illustrious Glenn Luttman!
