Coltrane Quartet - best band ever?
  9:21am mike east:

In contention for sure, rabbit
Avatar 9:24am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...well - people like Trane & Jimi tended to be philosophically averse to superlatives & competitive ranking...till they were playing anyhow : ) ...
  9:37am Mark:

Love Roswell Rudd--perhaps the first time I've ever heard him on the radio. O course you meant November, not February. I've actually been listening to him quite a bit lately. He has one called "Everywhere" from about 1966 that's amazing. Also played on the Jazz Composers Orchestra and Charlie Haden's Liberation Music Orchestra. And Trane, can't go wrong. Bo Diddley. Moby Grape. Dude, you're doing it to it today!
  9:41am Moe:

Saw Hitchcock and the egyptians about thirty years ago at boat house in norfolk Virginia... The place was empty, the stage prop was a British phone booth... Super show...
  9:47am Alfred Ron R1chards:

I was at that Boathouse show. Great venue, very good show.
  9:53am RHenderson:

Ahh...'Harmony Row' - terrific! Thanks, Bob.
  10:02am Moe:

Allfred: amazing... Yeah, great show...
  10:08am Josh Norton:

Moderato, Andante, etc. are tempo indications.

  10:10am wilbur twinhorse:

Avatar 10:10am Jeezy:

This is the Zombies?! 2011?!
🥁 10:11am David in ATL from NJ:

Ditto to the above!!!
  10:11am Mark:

Cool of you to throw in a little Stravinsky. I was just mentioning that in a note to your station manager yesterday--that as cool and freeform as FMU is, I never hear anyone weave in any classical into a set of other types of music--and then you go and do it! Well done, sir!
  10:13am Mark:

A skilled DJ knows when to drop in the Georgia Sea Island Singers!
  10:13am Mark:

Sorry for all the exclamation marks--it's like an Archie comic in here.
Avatar 10:14am Betty:

I really hate that bitch Veronica.
  10:15am ?:

"Movements" was the word.
  10:22am Mark:

Hate to break this to you, Betty, but she's you in a blonde wig.
  10:22am Mark:

Er you're her, I mean. Oh, it would have been so clever if I'd have gotten it right!
Avatar 10:23am Veronica:

In your dreams, fella.
  10:23am Mark:

Again with the exclamation marks.

pj proby's 'question' is a great song too.
🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:42am tadpoles:

Hey Bob thanks for PJ. I saw him perform in the '60's. Threw his sweaty handkerchiefs to the girls ala Tom Jones. "Hold Me" is a great song.
  10:43am Queen Of Caldor:

Whats the happs yo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Fuzzy:

Wow, that was righteous!
  10:54am RHenderson:

Brian Jones' recorder part is so wonderfully appropriate here. The Paul Trynka book about Jones - reviewed in the NY Times this past week - is really good. It postulates that Jones actually co-wrote "Ruby..." and other Stones tunes. Also, how they got the cello part is great - laid the cello flag on the floor, Brian fingering the fret board as Keith bowed the notes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57am SeanG:

that rocked
  10:57am the Augie:

This is great morning music to start my weekend. I usually listen to kspc polka show but this is happier \_('~')_/
