I played in a jazz band in college directed by an old sax player (Candy Johnson) who played with Tiny Bradshaw. That was big fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm

Thanks james. On the mend now.

or needs to be committed... nah nah blah blah
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
Uncle Michael:

This has lasted long enough for him to have looked up the lyrics.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm
Parq:

That Wilbert H was brilliant.
  3:11pm
Nate K:

This is the song that got fogerty sued for ripping off himself, right?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm
Matt F:

nate, I believe so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Parq:

Fogarty did a neat vid for that song, with a simulated (I assume) tracking shot that follows what appears to be a miles-long guitar cable from the amp to Fogarty.
  3:16pm
Nate K:

Nice this is my fave Small Faces song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm
Dominick:

I love how ragged this is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
listener james from westwood:

@Parq, I remember that one.
Muffs Muffs Muffs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm
Dominick:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm
Parq:

Man, the Muffs are just everywhere nowadays. They even cropped up on an old DJ premium I bought at the last record fair.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm
Uncle Michael:

Cab Calloway should have sued Fogarty first.
Avatar 3:32pm
conkrete_dawg:

Hidey-ho, uncle M
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
Parq:

From the old Wiki: "Fogerty ultimately prevailed when he showed that the two songs were whole, separate and distinct compositions. Bringing his guitar to the witness stand, he played excerpts from both songs, demonstrating that many songwriters (himself included) have distinctive styles that can make different compositions sound similar to less discerning ears."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
Parq:

Wikipedia fails to report whether or not the judge's law clerk was on record as saying that it had been the coolest case he had ever been on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm
Uncle Michael:

It's not just the hidey-ho. The whole thing is a reworking of "The Old Man of the Mountain."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm
Uncle Michael:

Love this Burton.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm
Doug Schulkind:

GIVE THE DRUMMER RADIO PROGRAMMING ALERT...
Tomorrow on the Drummer Stream, Give the Drummer Some will begin at 10:30 (eastern) and air for only 90 minutes. Uncle Michael's Hinky Dinky Time will run its usual three-hour madness, beginning at noon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm
Uncle Michael:

THAT THROWS MY WHOLE ROUTINE OFF.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm
Doug Schulkind:

To celebrate my 90-minute show, I will be playing exclusively 90-second songs. I'm carbo-loading now in preparation.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm
Dominick:

Nat Cole's Spanish never fails to make my Spanish speaking friends double up in laughter
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm
Stanley:

This is an amazing premium and been on the car stereo for weeks now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm
Parq:

Doug, two words: live cam.
Avatar 3:53pm
glenn:

let's see. divide 90 by itself, carry the 8, add 14. 275 songs?
Avatar 3:54pm
still b/p:

Yeah, I was just going to say the Nat accent was not so...effective, bless his heart....which seems surprising somehow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54pm
Doug Schulkind:

Playing all those short cuts is how DJ Matt has kept his boyish figure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm
listener james from westwood:

Useless Scorcese trivia: Although Frank Rosenthal, the guy on whom De Niro's Ace Rothstein was based in "Casino," ran (among other properties) the Stardust Hotel and Casino, the film couldn't mention the property by name. So Scorcese included like 3 or 4 version of "Stardust" on the soundtrack as a nudge-nudge.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm
Uncle Michael:

Great stuff, Matt. Thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm
listener james from westwood:

Always a stone groove, Matt! Thanks!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm
