The more recent rebirth of the Doctor on BBC TV is quite something after the various failed restarts of the 90s but I miss the shaky sets and everything being in an abandoned quarry if outdoors - damn these bigger budgets!!

I saw his farewell concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London and there was a wonderful repeat of a Dave Allen documentary from way back at Christmas on eccentrics where his bit was magical. I saw the play they made of his life in Glasgow earlier this year - excellent!

I saw his farewell concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London and there was a wonderful repeat of a Dave Allen documentary from way back at Christmas on eccentrics where his bit was magical. I saw the play they made of his life in Glasgow earlier this year - excellent!
