Gaylord Fields:

Hello, V Priceless.

Guido from Cologne:

Now that WFMU plays quite alot First Aid Kit i somehow regret i missed their Cologne show two years ago. They had some good radio exposure here.

Hi Gaylord and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Guido from Cologne: They probably spend more time in North America than Europe these days, I'm guessing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm
Guido from Cologne:

Allright, i missed James Brown which is worse ...

Monsieur Yves:

Dominique A.... Un bon choix
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm
Gaylord Fields:

Merci beaucoup, M. Yves. Now close your ears as I proceed to mangle your beautiful language.

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...yeah - just missed the moving 'Somewhere' - inspiration for Lennon's 'There's A Place' in '63 reportedly
...& JamesBrown: just snagged a newspaper article on the Jagger-Produced biopic 'Get On Up'...

Wendy del Formaggio:

Hi Gaylord! I'm just tuning in now. Glad to be here. You're my writing companion for the next 1.5 hours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm
Gaylord Fields:

Let the show guide your writing, Wendy! Unless that will make what you write seriously messed up, in which case do no such thing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

All of my writing is seriously messed up... I hope!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm
Gaylord Fields:

Revolution Rabbit Nov63: That was part of the songwriting magic of early Lennon-McCartney: They weren't inspired exclusively by "cool" sources such as rock 'n' roll, which was the limiting factor of many of their lessers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Wendy del Formaggio: I stand corrected. Allow me to help mess up your writing but good, then!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Haha, glad for your assistance, Gaylord!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm
Guido from Cologne:

  6:06pm
Yiannis:

Hello from Greece Gaylord youre the best late night company
  6:06pm
P-90:

Funny how I can instantly identify something like this (Rm. 222)from the first few beats of the intro, long before the melody even starts, even though its almost half a century old (!)-- such is it's nostalgic significance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm
Gaylord Fields:

@dale: Show up for the theme songs in odd meter and stay for the Karen Valentine memories!
  6:10pm
P-90:

@ dale: Karen Valentine was in fact the object, for many pre-teen boys, of that peculiar kind of sexual crush one can have before one even reaches puberty and becomes "sexual."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
Gaylord Fields:

@Yiannis: Καλημέρα σας κύριε.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
dale:

p-90 - the montgomery ward and jc penney catalogs were my first true love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
dale:

...but i've said too much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
Gaylord Fields:

@dale: Keep it clean.

Or don't. We're all grownups here -- or pretending to be.
  6:14pm
sugarwolf:

Hi hi hi well time to leave work!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm
Gaylord Fields:

@sugarwolf: I drove by your workplace and didn't come close to stopping.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm
Guido from Cologne:

Eiko Shuri :
Silly surprise track of the day and ESG will never stop to sound fresh.
Avatar 6:20pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...okay - read the thing in Fri.'s WSJ: Jagger producing 'GetOnUp' sounds like a good thing - we'll see
...little blurbs about:
- Andre3000 being Jimi: it's '66-7 before the 1st album only, prob. wise; seems like got the *look* right anyhow, so we'll see about the rest (no song rights btw)
- Don Cheedle's doing a few days late in Miles Davis' life
- & Zoe Saldana will be Nina Simone in a one for which the director sued the prod. co. but withdrew it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:22pm

like these last couple of 80's sounding nuggets.
