Yeah, that would be Fripp's long-awaited Country & Western experiment.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28am

I understand Fripp and the Chaps are remaking "Big Bottom."

@Andy-an allusion to a story someone told me many years ago.... stupid really, but a freind of mine told a joke at the dinner table while his brother was drinking tea and eating beans... it didn't end well....

Brian, you got a hotline to Joe's secret bunker?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am
Brian in UK:

Just asked a question, Stanley.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49am
Sem Chumbo:

Do you suppose the regulars here might open a drinking establishment called Bar Low? Our motto could be "Vigilate caput tuum"
Avatar 3:50am
Andy in Berlin:

I suddenly became aware of this Spinal Tap/Stonehenge discussion and I would like to share that I actually saw ST live at CBGBs back when the movie came out. I was watching them on that little stage thinking this would be the PERFECT place to fly in the Stonehenge set, but alas they didn't do it.
Avatar 3:50am
Andy in Berlin:

...one of the great disappointments of my life :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51am

Greatly envy that, Andy.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:54am

The doors to the bar in the shape of bum cheeks?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55am

Like swinging saloon doors in John Wayne westerns, Brian.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56am
Brian in UK:

You got it.
Avatar 3:56am
Bill Mac:

Sure you guys are great idea men, but you have to turn this into a reality. I need a floor plan by tuesday
Avatar 3:56am
Andy in Berlin:

@ Sem - disappointments aside, they tore up the place. The funny thing was that while waiting on line, I bumped into someone I knew from school who told me that he was planning a movie on Heavy Metal and after he saw Spinal Tap he decided there was nothing left to say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am
Brian in UK:

I don't hear a single. So sorry wrong meeting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57am
Brian in UK:

As the doors open a farting noise is emitted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58am
Brian in UK:

Bill, there is no floor you fall onto a sea of marshmallows.
Avatar 3:59am
Bill Mac:

@Brian I gotta say, you're making up for lost time.
Avatar 3:59am
Andy in Berlin:

@ Brian - on my first trip to Europe, I was in Paris and there was an exhibition about Babar The Elephant and the doorway was an elephant's ass. True story
Avatar 4:00am
Bill Mac:

@Andy Just caught up on your ST story - great stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01am
Brian in UK:

Andy, ah Babar, used to work in a childrens bookshop that brings back memories.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02am
Sem Chumbo:

Oh, Brian: farting! That's genius.
Instead of a bar tattoo, we could offer the customers branding. Now we have to design the iron...
  4:02am
KP:

Great cut
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03am
Stanley:

Right. There's these farting swing doors, a floor made of marshmallows, the drinks are served by beautiful alien women and come in intelligent glasses that you can talk to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am
Brian in UK:

The iron would follow the John Wayne doors/cattle theme. That's REAL branding.

Holy Plectrums, Bill Mac.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07am
Stanley:

Blimey, Brown Shoes. Are we allowed to listen to this stuff nowadays?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07am

We were somewhere near Bar Low when the drugs began to take hold.
Avatar 4:08am
Bill Mac:

@Stanley What? Too passe' for the masses?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08am
Brian in UK:

We've razed the bar.
Avatar 4:10am
Bill Mac:

@Stanley Let me get this straight - the alien girls are wearing glasses that make em look smart, or are they actually liquefied into a drinking vessel?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am

What tuneage you've offered this morning, Bill! Much new to me. Digging to the max.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17am
Stanley:

Back on topic - I hadn't thought of that but, hey, I like the idea. It'll be happening in the sci-fi room next door to the cowboy themed room where the clientele line up to be branded like cattle. One helluva bar.

You actually saw shows there right KP?

I used that angle to write a story about the movie and everything it brought to mind. It was published in the only newspaper that matters. That was quite an achievement, for me, I felt.
  5:03am

And it happened because a fake Tommy Ramone was more real than. anything else
