	10:21pm P-90: I liked the visual design, a large portion of the book is a road trip through postwar America. They found all the right kinds of N. Rockwell-esque locations, and real US countryside. That stuff was noticeably absent from the Kubrick, filmed in England...

	10:41pm P-90: @Rev: Gaylord was speaking of the 63-64 period, from which the (almost) only footage is of huge arena shows w/screaming fans, inadequate PA reinforcement etc....his point was the "excellent performing band" was neutralized by those circumstances, when the cameras and audio tape were rolling. So there.

	10:47pm P-90: @Rev: The physical infrastructure for presenting little electric combos to big, big audiences simply was not in place, it really worked against them. They all say it discouraged them, it turned shows into a joke, the studio just seemed more comfortable and relevant after that
