I gotta go pick up the pooch from Camp Bow Wow. (And no, silly, that is NOT the nickname Keith Richard gave his trousers!)

I love that Keith sent a message to Etta James insisting SHE had to be clean if she was going to accept the invitation to tour with Stones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm
SeanG:

I love that first Keith solo album!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm
Uncle Michael:

Keith still has it on guitar? Did you look at clips from the last tour?

This is a rather cool, calm and collected show thus far lads
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm
Doug Schulkind:

I keep meaning to read his autobio. By all accounts it is fabulous.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:46pm
Uncle Michael:

The Genuine Black Box is the shit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm
Parq:

To certain persons of a certain age -- that is, those who were white suburban teenagers in the early 70s just starting to learn to play rock guitar -- the grove of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" is one of the most iconic guitar riffs ever. Ever.
Avatar 2:48pm
fleep:

Cool alternate.

Tony:

KR was lost in space through a lot of 2006-2007, often completely losing it. But he did some awesome stuff in 2013 with only occasional clams.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm
Uncle Michael:

Huh. My takeaway is that his gnarled hands won't even finger the chords anymore.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm
Artie:

In a stroke of convenient inevitability his fingers are gnarled into the exact shapes of the chords. He can't use silverware, or go to the bathroom unaided, but he can still play Jumpin' Jack Flash without hindrance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm
Uncle Michael:

A stroke would explain a lot.

If Judy Garland has lived another handful of years, she mighta partied somewhere with the boys in the 70's.

I saw all three of my Stones shows in '81.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm
Doug Schulkind:

I saw them in '81, too. Richfield Coliseum outside of Cleveland. Etta James opened!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm
Uncle Michael:

I had no such luck. I got Thorogood. And in Boulder Thorogood and Heart...but not together.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm
Uncle Michael:

We did get Mick Taylor sitting in, in Kansas City.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm

Only once, MSG in '72. Stevie Wonder opened

My favorite Rolling Stones song is "If You Can't Rock Me", which should have been a #1 song on the charts !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm
Uncle Michael:

So glad we get to hear the track.

Billy Miller:

We were at that Rockpile show that Nick Lowe's talking about! It was funny, weird and very cool all at once. And Anita Pallenberg was sitting at the other end of our table! ha!

When I listened to the deluxe edition of Exile, as interesting as it all is to hear, there's not one outtake that I think should have bumped anything off the original release.
