- delighted & much relived of course that you're on the new Sched.
...hurts to lose Jason Elbogen (I know no other outlet whatsoever for a good %age that stuff!) & Monica, altho' of course welcome Blumin & others returning & programs I don't know yet
...The knowledgeable uniqueness of what FMU DJs bring makes it a highstake game!...

...FMU sometimes does the service of putting the Audio to stuff I've only read about in maybe MOJO or somewhere - & in Anne Briggs' case, the legend is she was such a refusenik, I got the impression somehow that there was nearly nothing recorded to hear...

Yes, Rev, people like Jeffrey let us hear all this great music only whispered about in Mojo.
I did find an interview with Anne Briggs in the Guardian(the U.K. newspaper)from 2007. It's online and worth a read.

...John Hammond Jr. does a pretty good simulacrum of Robert Johnson - @ pretty close range, made me feel like a steel bolt had been shot thru my heart, if you can get to that @ all...

musicians are typically terrible at business, and people who are good with business tend to have terrible taste in music. This catch 22 is the plague of the music industry.

"Now I can be weird and be happy about it." - Allysen Callery. LOVE that. Reminds me of back in the day - "We let the weirdness in" - KaTe Bush Fan Mantra. And the LoveHounds post to |>oug of "why don't you go elsewhere" and his reply "This *IS* elsewhere"
