After a hard drive mishap while djing, I lost most of a year's worth of music (over 365 days of music) last summer. I was able to recover 5% of that amount, and now, 40% of my hard drive is from Mining the Motherlode.

I was in the middle of backing up my hard drive that evening, when I got a request to dj, and they had no working turntables. I usually don't like bringing my laptop and hard drive for the reasons that transpired (prefer analogue media only), but hey, digital media is meant to be ephermeral.
