i guess eating my roommates weed brownie out of pure hunger wasnt such a bad idea anymoOoOre
  9:06pm
D in Miami:

Evening, Dave! Back for the 98%.
Avatar 9:07pm
Dave M.:

Welcome, D & D. @danny: Let me know if you need me to call an ambulance.
  9:09pm
Ambulance:

Just watch what you call me, bub.
Avatar 9:11pm
Dave M.:

Stick around, Ambulance. We've got a guy here who just ate some spiked brownies.
  9:11pm
danny venture:

just keep the vibes dank bro if i can just focus on this poster of jerry i'll be cool
  9:12pm
D in Miami:

A poster of Seinfeld? How will that help?
Avatar 9:12pm
Dave M.:

I'll try to keep a mellow vibe tonight.
  9:12pm
Ambulance:

Ugh, my favorite kinda call. [rolls headlights]
  9:29pm
Elwyn:

I had to go online to find out that song title. That's not so bad.

All your talk of 10/100 makes me thing of regular expressions /geek thing
Avatar 9:31pm
Dave M.:

Wow, there's not much talk about regular expressions here on the chat board.
  9:31pm
D in Miami:

Maybe it's like Sunn O)))
Avatar 9:34pm
Dave M.:

Sunn O))) was an amplifier company. I used to own a Sunn amp.
Avatar 9:34pm
Dave M.:

It was a great amp.
  9:35pm
Elwyn:

That intro seemed okay. Nothing as crazy as the intro to "Jesus Christ" by Big Star... Speaking of Big Star's "Jesus Christ", I've made my $100 pledge to get that WFMU with an exclusive mix of that song. :-) /free silent pledge promotion
  9:36pm
Ambulance:

danny venture asks if this is the International Street Cannabis Ensemble, because if so he wants to audition.
  9:37pm
D in Miami:

I was thinking of the band, Dave, which was named after the amp. I've yet to own one. I have a Vox.
  9:39pm
D in Miami:

I had to read that one twice, Amb. I thought cannabis, too. Anyway, I'm glad the Street Cannibals have gone international. That should keep the population down a little bit better.
Avatar 9:39pm
Dave M.:

@Elwyn: Thanks! @D: Yeah, I know. Whenever anyone mentions the band I get nostalgic for my old bass amp.
  9:40pm
D in Miami:

I want to start singing that Led Zeppelin song.
Avatar 9:40pm
Dave M.:

@Ambulance: Yeah, International Street Cannibals Ensemble. Brand new release, VERY good.
  9:43pm
danny venture:

woh this guys voice... maaan... the... dude...
Avatar 9:44pm
Dave M.:

Martin Carthy. One of the greats.
  9:47pm
Elwyn:

I really need to buy more Laura Cantrell... but I keep maxing out my credit card.
Avatar 9:55pm
Dave M.:

Oops. Well, she's a wonderful singer.
  10:12pm
danny venture:

enter the void
Avatar 10:13pm
Dave M.:

Black Sabbath? Or is that "Into the Void"?
  10:15pm
D in Miami:

Enter the Void is the movie.
Avatar 10:15pm
Dave M.:

Oops.
  10:17pm
danny venture:

was just a very void entering tune in general
  10:17pm
12539:

Now's as good a time as any to let you know I'm enjoying the show as usual, Mr M.
  10:17pm
D in Miami:

Don't worry, Dave. I think we're all in the void by now.
  10:24pm
D in Miami:

Season of the Harvest
Avatar 10:26pm
Dave M.:

Many thanks, 125. Can I call you "125" for short?
  10:26pm
12539:

Only if I can call you "Dav"
Avatar 10:27pm
Dave M.:

Of course.
  10:38pm
D in Miami:

Some good stuff here! I keep meaning to get some Bee Mask. I'll have to check out Envenomist now.
Avatar 10:40pm
Dave M.:

That's a split LP, one side for each group.
  10:44pm
D in Miami:

Oh, you're pulling out the good stuff now!
  10:48pm
D in Miami:

Wow, that cut out just as I pulled the cord on my laptop. Thought I messed something up.
  10:50pm
Bill:

Weird that you would mention Steve Hackett, I was just reading up on GTR yesterday.
  10:56pm
D in Miami:

I figured it was either the Residents or NWW.
  10:56pm
Elwyn:

I'm guessing Half Japanese. Not sure why.

Really, there would be an insane amount of Yo La Tengo if they released their marathon performances to FMA.
Avatar 10:57pm
Dave M.:

No, the Fall. They must have 100 releases at this point.
  10:59pm
Bill:

Speaking of GTR, I'll guess Steve Howe.
  10:59pm
Elwyn:

I always think of The Fall as the English Guided by Voices and Guided by Voices as the American Fall because both bands have lasted ages with one sole surviving member and an ever-changing line up of backing musicians.
  11:00pm
D in Miami:

NWW has 129 according to discogs, but it's singles and other stuff, too.
Avatar 11:01pm
Dave M.:

I think you're right about NWW. For some reason there's a lot of their stuff that we don't have here at FMU.
  11:06pm
D in Miami:

A lot of NWW is hard to get. They've both been around for a looong time, at least.
  11:10pm
Ayuda:

Thanks for the salvation through music
  11:10pm
D in Miami:

Shelby Steele should be sowing the lawn I don't have.
Avatar 11:12pm
Dave M.:

@Ayuda: My Pleasure.
  11:18pm
Ayuda:

Thanks for sharing Ivor's story
Avatar 11:23pm
Dave M.:

@Ayuda: Sure. He was a fascinating guy.
  11:32pm
Ayuda:

Do you have ionisation by Eddie Varese
Avatar 11:34pm
Dave M.:

By amazing coincidence I've got some Varese here in the studio. Let me check...
Avatar 11:34pm
Dave M.:

And...yes, Ionization is on this collection.
  11:34pm
Ayuda:

Yay!!!!!!
Avatar 11:35pm
Dave M.:

I will play it next.
  11:36pm
Ayuda:

Wunderbar! WFMU and you rock!
Avatar 11:36pm
Dave M.:

I try to rock.
  11:40pm
12539:

But please don't rock more than 2%.
Avatar 11:41pm
Dave M.:

Yeah, I'll be careful about that.
  11:42pm
richierich:

unbeefeeeekinlieveable. thank you for playin Varese, he's still my favorite.
Avatar 11:43pm
Dave M.:

Ur welcome.
  11:44pm
Ayuda:

If I could I would dance on top of the earth
  11:47pm
D in Miami:

Anything from the Kroumata Percussion Ensemble?
  11:52pm
Ayuda:

Thanks for another great show!
Avatar 11:53pm
Dave M.:

@D: Mmmmm...not sure if we have anything of theirs, but unfortunately I'm out of time. I'll check for next week's show.
Avatar 11:53pm
Dave M.:

  11:54pm
richierich:

  11:54pm
12539:

Thanks, Dav.
  11:55pm
D in Miami:

It just seemed to fit with the rest. But this Fine is very fine. A good ending to a great show. I'll try to catch you again next week.
Avatar 11:58pm

Paul in Canterbury:

Thanks for playing Camberwell Now - I have this at home (only 50 miles from Camberwell). Great to hear it any time - witty music and lyrics and rocking. Dave M, you're quite right about the UK meaning of 'green fingers'.
