Listener comments!

  9:11am Todd in Miami:

He, the Richmond! One of my fave Jack Bruce tunes. Thanks, Bob.
  9:16am Ace gumshoe & snoop:

And don't beat me to the punch!
  9:41am paul in FL:

This song is slightly insane.
  9:47am Todd in Miami:

Alwick's Records...plus Vogel's Records around the corner...yup bought lots of records there in the 1970s. Are they still around? (doubt it).
  10:11am swami:

had no idea Spencer Davis cooked like that! Thanks!
  10:15am scott:

Gabriel Mekler, who Bob mentioned earlier, was an interesting guy. He was a classically-trained pianist from Israel who managed to talk his way into a job as staff producer at ABC-Dunhill in the late '60s, while still in his early 20s. He was instrumental in the formation of Steppenwolf and produced their first few albums, as well as much of Three Dog Night's stuff. He died in a motorcycle accident while still in his mid-30s.
  10:17am Deepak:

Hey everyone.
  10:18am Mike East:

Thanks again for putting My Name is Jack in my head for the rest of the day. Great show, BB
  10:22am paul in FL:

We've lost a Beastie Boy and a Burrito Brother in the last 2 weeks. :(
  10:34am paul in FL:

Ethridge left the Burrito Brothers after the group recorded its first album, “The Gilded Palace of Sin,” in 1969, and eventually returned to work as a studio and touring musician, playing with Ronstadt, Ry Cooder, Randy Newman, Jackson Browne and many others.
  10:36am mrmucho:

that Joe Carroll track was wild. he lives up to his name.
  10:38am scott:

Chris Ethridge was also in Willie Nelson's band for several years, and was briefly in the not-so-hot refried Burritos in the late '70s (with Joel Scott Hill, with whom he'd made the L.A. Getaway album).
  10:42am Parq:

Vividly remember this Davis version of "Man".
