Thank g-d, finally done with a pointless, repetitive work-related conference call hosted by a lisping, hyperventilating administrator whose mouth is always full of saliva -- from 9 TO FUCKING 10 PM ON A FRIDAY, WTF??? I hope at least the west coast faculty members who got their desired 6PM meeting time are happy.

I hear you, G. I spent the afternoon in a meeting with a mealy-mouthed dirtbag politician who was insulting our intelligence about this stone racist immigration bill. Blech. More pop, please. Also, this glass of wine is going to taste awfully good.

Yes's most recent CD, their first studio album in a decade (2011), is basically 1980 Yes (Yes + Buggles "Drama") redux. It's really not bad. I broke down and got a used copy after they got cheap recently.

Speaking of tragic pop tales, Trevor Horn's wife has been in a coma for years. Their teen son, home from college, was using an air rifle outside their home and didn't realize she was nearbyA pellet hit her. Is that depressing enough?
  11:11pm
large Panties:

hey pseu , it's almost st . pat's. day . anything?

@BS: Wikipedia, Trevor Horn article: "Communication from ZTT Records [Horn's label/production co.] confirmed on 1 September 2006 that Jill is in a natural coma and had been moved to a rehabilitation centre. In September 2009, Horn told The Times [of London] that he preferred not to answer questions about his wife, but confirmed that she was still in a coma."

It's not like I wish a Red Rider related vegetative state on every band that released a lardy triple album.

Newton:

Give the people what the want... Thank you
  11:29pm
G:

Yes has released some schlock, and a lot of repackaged stuff for retirement $$$, and in recent years they are pretty creepy visually in all honesty (the Brasilians have called Howe "Caveira"/Skull for many years). But many bands would kill to have the better stuff in their catalogue.
  11:30pm
RC:

Red Rider got a pellet gun named after them, but didn't put anyone in a coma.
