The Squires seem to have a squirrel as a lead singer. And I don't mean that in a bad way.
  9:23pm
Barkevious Mingo:

Lovedovey-tuneful and seemingly ungoogleable.

How weird that something as immediate and great as "Flavor of the Month" is only appreciated by a popnerd underground.. The obfuscation machine works tirelessly.

From a couple sources: : β€œIt is with regret that The La's have had to cancel their show at the Webster Hall on Monday, March 12th, 2012. Unfortunately, front man Lee Mavers has damaged the tendons in his index (playing) finger. He has been to see a doctor and been informed that it will not have recovered in time for his New York show.”

sounds incredibly painful but not the end of his playing abilities.

Show was cancelled by March 1st, according to brooklynvegan's post:

gf's read brooklynvegan, you know how it goes.

some commenters there claimed, without offering evidence, that ticket sales were the reason. whatevvs.

In the early 70s, when the whole family was in the car and this song came on CKLW, all five of my youngest sister's siblings would sing along with the lyrics while she got angry and kept slugging everyone within reach.

Folks, I'm involved in a very special radio project over in the UK as part of a festival called "As Slow As Possible" put on by AV Fest. I have a one-hour long radio piece that will only be played twice more this month. Tune in SUNDAY 3/11 at 11:00AM to the following link to hear. In the meantime, it's a 24-hour audio artwork lasting one month in progress (click on the red radio icon): www.avfestival.co.uk...

That Paparazzi track was named "Walkiing In A Circle".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21pm
pseu:

thanks, fan -- was not on my copy....didn't know there was a track 7!
  11:22pm
fan:

uh, that's "walking" ... without 2 "i"s. My bad. The songwriter, Erik Paparozzi, is not Dutch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24pm

or Welsh for that matter.

PSEU BRAUN AND ALEX ORLOV: MANENS IN LIMBO – FOR RADIO BOREDCAST

I'm thinking the times given are UK times, so their 11PM would be our 6PM, yes?

Yes, you're right FML I can't get that f&*))kin' GMT str8.
  11:32pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm

OK, like G said, my radio thing'll be on at SIX PM SUNDAY at the link above. Click on the red radio icon. Otherwise, enjoy. Stunning stuff going on over there...

  11:37pm
Ike:

We're setting our clocks forward on Sunday -- does that mean it's actually on at 7 p.m. Sunday our time (ET)? The UK's version of Daylight Saving Time possibly doesn't begin until 3/25/12 (maybe) so that throws a wrench into the clockworks....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:38pm
pseu:

I'm sure we can all figure this out once it happens, right? Tune in early so as not to miss anything at all.
  11:40pm
G:

It's part of an all-March radio/multimedia project by Vicki (of Do or DIY), featuring not a few FMU DJs, I'm seeing. So many shows are worth checking out.

Ike is right about the time. UK and US spring time change are not the same weekend. So if we go forward an hour on Saturday andf they don't, 11PM their tie Sunday is 7PM Sunday. Or something.

Global domination just aint as easy as it sounds.

thanks for pointing out the time change. Screwed up the translation of time the first broadcast of the piece. It'll be even harder this time around. Again, if you're tuned in way before, you won't miss. And you wanna hear the piece from the start, trust me.
