Good morning, Trouble Man! ;-)

I sense a tribute to Don Cornelius in that trilogy of Marvin, Todd and Impressions
  9:16am Tim B:

  9:19am Todd E:

Nothing like a Miami Saturday morning with you Bob! (from a NJ expatriate) Really appreciate all the stuff you've played in Tommy's memory the past few weeks.
  9:27am Jack:

Peter Green does Beefheart. Love it.
  9:29am Kenzo:

I've never been up early enough on a Saturday to catch your show live. Today, I'm lucky!
  9:39am Ed McGlynn, Jr.:

Gravy Waltz was composed by TV's Steve Allen, who also won the 1963 Grmmy Award for the work.
  9:55am SmokinJ:

Hey! It's a party!
  10:12am Peter K.:

"Gravy Waltz" was indeed written by the great bassist Ray Brown. Steve Allen later added words, and for years claimed to have written the whole thing -- or at least implied as much. In fact he wrote the lyrics only. The melody already existed, was written by Ray Brown alone, and had been recorded by a few people before Steve Allen ever put words to it. This is indisputably true. I love Steve Allen (his disdain for rock 'n' roll notwithstanding), but he did tend to be pretty self-aggrandizing.
  10:14am gail:

THANK YOU SO MUCH for Wintertime Love!
  10:24am Peter K.:

FYI, Ray Brown and Steve Allen SHARED the 1963 Grammy for "Gravy Waltz" in the category "best original jazz composition." Odd, in that it appears to have been recorded (as an instrumental) as early as 1961.
  10:27am mrmucho:

tons of great guitar playing today, Bob!
  10:47am seang:

dig it
  10:47am Scott C.:

We're still dying up here in Utica, Bob, but we're not dead yet! Thanks for playing your records this morning.
  10:58am Tim B:

A great great show BOb!!! Thanks.
  10:43am Paul:

Very strange, I listened to this Dillard and Clark song last night.
