Anyone else here excited about the upcoming Codeine reissues? Numero Group, I think?
  3:37am
Adam in Portland:

You handled that mic break like a pro. Soon you'll be trading phrases and anecdotes with Clay Pigeon.
  3:41am
Jonathan:

Hello, nice music, as if it's still night in 10:40 Kyiv
  3:45am
Adam in Portland:

I agree about Numero Group, but just relieved that new folks will more easily discover the beauty of those artifacts. I worked at Sub Pop when The White Birch was released. I didn't properly appreciate its power then, but I sure do now. I look forward to hearing extras.
  3:46am
Adam in Portland:

[...am just relieved...]
  3:49am
Jonathan:

heya an2netto!

I woke up at 4AM to watch tennis matches from Australia, now drinking my 2nd coffee to this night music when it's 10 AM my office hour here in Poland. Crazy time differences fixing! Great debut show, Jonathan!

Just wanted to welcome you to the web-waves. Great show so far. Unfortunately at 4:00am here, must go to sleep and will have to catch the rest in the archives. Nice job, Jonathan.
  4:12am
(mta) Tony:

European listeners realize they're listening to a radio station broadcasting live from NY/NJ where it's 4 in the morning. Anyway, interesting music like this is good at ANY time.
  4:26am
Jonathan:

thanks for the kind words folks!
  4:55am

  5:22am

i guess rock bottom isn't very "upbeat" is it...
  5:23am
Greg:

on music vs. times of night and day: in the really recent past I couldn't imagine to listen to some albums/type of music at night and vice versa. Listening to WFMU has changed this notion. You see, for the last hour of drons and minimalisms I've imagined that I'm in the sea of papers on my desk, and so on (OK, with gore'n'grind metal or plunderphonics woud be more difficult) . I'm not sure how far I will go with this idea - will check fruits of this surrealism tomorrow, but as for now it's alright.
  5:25am
Greg:

Oh, you see - "Sea song"! It works!
  5:36am
Jonathan:

ha! the second serendipitous moment on the comments tonight.
