Hi Martha - alt version of my childhood favorite? Holy shit
  9:11pm
Martha:

Oh yes - most of the songs on this record have alternative lyrics so it isn't just some lame outtakes retreads, if you know what I mean -
  9:28pm
laura:

que tengas bunas noches...
  9:33pm
Martha:

And a good night to you as well (at least I believe that is an appropriate return of sentiments) -
  9:33pm
Richard from Venezuela:

Good evening Martha and all the listeners.
  9:41pm
Martha:

Hi Richard et al. -
  9:42pm
laura:

lo es! gracias Martha!
  9:43pm
jones:

Hello, from the foggy swamplands of Michigan. Love the show, especially Castle and Ice Bound Majesty.
  9:45pm
Opening Set:

New Bin Fever!
  9:51pm
Martha:

NBF - that's the way I like it - and glad you enjoyed the Castle - I loved it -
  9:53pm
dave:

if google is to be believed (and who doesn't believe GOOGLE?) the internet is completely unaware of the existence of guisher or anything called "hide your gold dome".

that's how clued this show is: it plays things the internet refuses to acknowledge.
  9:56pm
blackgreen13:

violent pink! loved that
  9:57pm
blackgreen13:

@dave hard to believe rule 34 hasn't touched that one
  10:00pm
dave:

well, it's probably only because i've got safesearch set on "just don't show me that. really. just... just don't." that i didn't get a lot of results about 'playing hide the gold dome'.
  10:01pm
blacktooth:

Noyce! Thanks for that bit of crusy swedish thrash in there.
  10:04pm
J J:

I did a little search. It's because it's 'Cold' not 'Gold.'
  10:04pm
Martha:

Hey all - welcome, glad you are enjoying various bits - sorry not to segue the Swede thrash w/ the Japanese stuff but I am saving it for later - and other stuff -
  10:05pm
blackgreen13:

funny how things like that can skew... I sometimes wonder how much the rigid media prohibitions on erotica has driven us towards the other option, violence. I mean, in New Mexico, I can walk down the street with my .357 on my hip if I want... how far would I get with no pants?
  10:05pm
Google:

I have Guisher. Is it "Hide Your Cold Dome"? Or do I have the typo?

  10:05pm
PB:

Speaking of European music, based on an absolutely glowing NYT review of a recent live performance, I bought the new Iceage CD (New Brigade). It's terrrible.
  10:05pm
Martha:

Thanks - will correct!
  10:07pm
Richard from Venezuela:

@PB check the netlabel Sounds of zilence. Great european bands and all the releases free and legal:

http://claudiomarino.com/soz/catalog.php

Magna carta cartel is terrific.
  10:07pm
dave:

well, there goes my hope of an experience unmediated by the internet, done in by my apparent inability to read.
  10:08pm
NYT:

We have been clueless since about 1960, to be honest. We're very grateful for you not noticing, though! :-)
  10:11pm
blacktooth:

One reporter's opinion, but I think the Swedes & Japanese both made some of the best tweaked-out versions of punk & thrash.
  10:12pm
Martha:

Agree re" the sex/violence trade-off - though w/ all these new prohibitions there seems to be more sex on network TV than there was even 10 years ago - and thanks all for correcting my bad eye sight and sharing the news - must get back to the rekkids w/out opinions -
  10:15pm
blackgreen13:

Hey Richard, thanks for sharing!
  10:17pm
PB:

Yes, thanks Richard. I'll check it out.
  10:26pm
Martha:

Just to add - Richard is an excellent source of info -
  10:28pm
PB:

Sounds like a Kazakh cover of a 70s Deep Purple song or something. Where do you find this stuff?
  11:02pm
mordred:

How very Ogre-ish..
  11:03pm
Martha:

Ogre? - sounds great, am unaware tho' -
  11:08pm
jones:

DJ Female Convict Scorpion!
  11:12pm
Martha:

Yes!!! - so happy whenever we get something new in from *him* -
  11:39pm
david:

Martha you play for keeps! Loving this.
  11:39pm
blackgreen13:

agree!
  11:41pm
Martha:

Thanks all for checking in - means a lot -
  11:42pm
blackgreen13:

was about to say, slipped into a total altered states, unmitigated by anything except the tunes
  11:45pm
blackgreen13:

well, I guess I don't eat very much, either ;)
  11:47pm
david:

Is that 2-beat on a yamaha diggy? love it!
  11:53pm
jones:

Burnt Hills!
  11:59pm
mordred:

Martha, you rock!! Swans-like desolation hillsy!!
  12:00am
Martha:

Not sure about the beat - am not up on anything except playing hymns w/ my nephew on piano -
  12:16am
Martha:

Thanks all for checking in w/ comments, suggestions, recommendations, etc. - hope to hear from you next week -
