A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Good soggy morning to you Trouble. Thanks a ton for your premium cd. Got it in the mail just the other day. Love the blue and gold coloring combo. Makes me think of old California license plates, Blue Angel fighter/show pilots, the movie Blue Velvet and the Swedish flag.
  9:43am

Trouble you are the best, thanks for sharing this with us !!!
  9:44am
dc pat:

did we find out the significance of the aristocratic lady and/or who painted? Too lazy to look..
  9:44am

Hi Trouble, your painted lady has' hidden' Tamara de Lempicka-esq facial features but I know it's a Gainsborough. Without a shadow of a doubt!
  10:17am

Hey Brian! I proposed to my gorgeous wife-to-be in the Greys! I liked B Braggs Imagined Village very much (particularly the album artwork - can I say that without sounding like a pitifully shallow graphic designer?). Let's meet up there!
Trouble - I think I've spotted that painting before, was it poss hanging on the stair wall in a classic Vincent Price horror!

I've been in love with Debbie Harry for 30-some years...
  11:16am

I believed they featured on the album, Brian - song about a day in the life of an olden days Suffolk shepherd. Nice work still b/p! Am presently scrutinising and verifying. Thanks maja! Her hair and mink do not appear to be of that period, but.
  11:17am
Deepak:

This is the only version a french friend of mine liked when i introduced him to Blondie.
  11:17am

  11:19am
Deepak:

why would anyone dislike Blondie? Its the greatest band ever.
  11:20am
dc pat:

blondie for me was like a gateway drug. I liked some of their stuff but quickly moved on to much noisier groups. Still in love with Debbie though...
  11:20am
pierre:

@ dc pat : yeah i've a friend who's been waiting as well.
@ Carmichael : yeah, but what about Debbie Harry ?
@ Deepack : thanks, will there be archive of that ? I mean, does the bbc has the same archive policy as wfmu does, which is completely awesome.
  11:20am

Good morning Trouble. Was that a 'teach your parrot to talk' record? I think I have that.
  11:22am
Stevel:

I remember seeing Blondie on the Midnight Special about 100 years ago. I was SURE Debbie Harry actually checked me out with a slow, up and down look. Not sure what she saw in a 16-year-old twerp in his PJs, but hey, a boy can dream.
