A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

  9:09am

  9:11am
Adler:

My pledge is in the bank. Looking forward to hearing about y'all's pledges today.
  9:11am
Adrian in London:

Morning Trouble. So the question is, do I donate this week or next?
  9:13am
charlie:

go trouble!

ye-ye-ye!!!
  9:14am
trouble:

adrian, ouch that's a very sophie's choice dilemma! i think it is best to share the love and split your donation in two...
  9:15am
Andy in Iowa City:

Morning Trouble! Already made my Mouse pledge but had to check-in with one of my fav 'FMU DJs. Thanks to you and everyone at the station for all your love and hard work. It shows. I'll be dropping some prize account pledges and maybe a few "cherries on top" during the marathon.
  9:18am
Adrian in London:

For when you need a breather, here's Jane Russell on What's My Line.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14cK_IzpgBk
  9:20am
yayson:

thanks for the music trouble! mouse coming yer way thru the internets, everyone else on here buck up the CC and pay pay pay!!!!
  9:21am
seang:

wow, Jane Russell is stunning, those eyebrows are sublime
  9:22am
Marmalade Kitty:

I assume, all donations are pooled together into one big pot, is that right?
But the competition is fierce between Dj's shows..?
  9:24am
Adrian in London:

Great earrings too, seang!
  9:26am
trouble:

yes Mk they are all pooled together, but each dj tried to work their winning magic to extract as much dough as possible. the past 2 years we have fallen short of our marathon goal of a million $, that's right. that is what it costs to run a sttaion that is practically all volunteer help!
  9:30am
pierre:

Does companies give money to (just for supporting the radio, not try to advertise anything of course) ? It may be a stupid question.
  9:30am
Marmalade Kitty:

Good look Trouble! Thanks and I totally agree with you
  9:35am
herb:

(1) niiiiice GREIL M pic. i saw his LISPTICK TRACES 'show' at columbia univ, 2009. fun! (2) just betw you & me, i'm gonna bombard comments boards about a "let's donate & then give an extra 1% on top of our donation" campaign. just maybe some can do such. (3) excuse me, time to donate...
  9:37am
charlie:

yay, david suisman! woo hoo!!
  9:38am
cubicle carl:

Trouble, those breathing noises were kinda hot...that's it...I'm pledging
  9:40am
dudder:

not everyone doesn't prepare..don't forget Clay Pigeon's show is masterfully edited. Jest sayin'.
  9:41am
John:

Now when you say that “if everyone who listens to FMU were to give a dollar” does that include my coworkers who are forced against their will to listen? I love the show from Ft. Lauderdale FLA.
  9:42am
Jonathan Skinner:

TROUBLE,
J'aime ecouter votre show. J'aime ecouter les chansons des oiseaux. J'aime votre gout en musique Française. Vous m'apprenez de la nouvelle musique chaque semaine. Je vous adore et je vous remercie!

  10:17am
yair yona:

  10:18am
Danne D:

  10:31am
Danne D:

This is totally unrelated aside from the word leche but I saw the funniest Spanish-Language informercial/Shawwow style commercial where the product was powdered milk. Though it was funny how dynamic they were trying to make it sound :)
  10:33am
Pinky&Perky:

I remember WFMU urging folks to send in old motor cars, however old and beaten up..!
  10:34am

  10:36am
Robert:

Bien sur, "d'en ville" = "from in town".
  10:36am
Pinky&Perky:

e-mail the station gaffa's
  10:38am
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

  10:39am
Danne D:

Here's the section on donating things like cars and lps etc to wfmu. Don't know how this interacts or doesn't with the swag-o-verse but here you go :)

http://wfmu.org/Help/donate.html
  10:40am
Pinky&Perky:

sounds like it could be worth a bit ;)
  10:42am
Tom ( The Bactrian Support Network ):

  10:54am
Danne D:

Tom, I'd shoot and e-mail to powers at that link about what you might be able to donate in terms of stuff. Folks do what they can when they can so if circumstances mean you can't make a donation or only make a small one don't worry just encourage your friends to support the station. I hope things get better for you :)
  10:56am

  11:27am
Danne D:

If you put 2 quarters in a jar every day for year, that'd be enough to pledge $180 :) Literally your pocket change can make a big difference for WFMU and your dollars go far :)
