Listener comments!

  9:02pm
Dave M:

Evening, everybody.
  9:07pm
Derek B:

Dave, newbie alert finishing first week of FMU this evening - do I get a gold star?
  9:09pm
Dave M:

You get a Purple Heart.
  9:11pm
Derek B:

Haha, sweet! Anyone for some Swift boatin'? Anyone?
  9:12pm
Barry in Donegal,Ireland:

Usually listen to both Monica and Dave on the catch up service so don't get to respond to the comments but thanks to the tip off from BillyJam about the WFMU show due to be held in Galway. I had not heard anything so any other details would be great.

Also hello to Angela who spent four months with her husband up on Malin Head. Hope it was for what passes for our summer. Anyway I will catch up with the show again tomorrow after work. All the best.
  9:12pm
Dave M:

But seriously...welcome!
  9:14pm
Derek B:

Cheers Dave, digging the start to your show.
  9:54pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Enjoying the show here in rainy Downtown Jersey City. Thanks, Dave!
  9:56pm
Dave M:

Hey Wendy. "Formaggio"--haha!
  9:57pm
Tony:

Dave: love the show. I'm sorry that you are not on the new schedule.
  9:58pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

It's my Super-Hero name :-)
Have no fear, Wendy del Formaggio is here!
  9:59pm
Dave M:

Formaggio is usually what I need when I'm in trouble.

Tony: Thanks. But I'll be back...
  10:01pm
Steve:

After the great tug-of-war to get you back on the air it is hard to see you leave so quick. Three cheers for Dave!
  10:02pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Oh what a friend we have in cheeses!
  10:03pm
Tony:

Great. I'll look forward to it!
  10:08pm
Dave M:

Thanks, Steve. Very nice of you.
  10:17pm
Terry:

Sums up my WFMU experience. Find someone I like and they take them off the air.
  10:17pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Glenn and I were totally digging the hippie track. I'd heard of Steve Hillage but, other than a little bit of Gong, I'd never heard his music. It's cool.
  10:21pm
Dave M:

Yeah, there's a bunch of people from Gong on that record, all listed under crazy hippie pseudonyms.

Terry: Thanks. But there are lots of archives to listen to. And I should be back, hopefully in the spring.
  10:25pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Oh man, I need a crazy hippie pseudonym! Maybe Gong will lend me Camembert Electrique. Haha.

Glad you are aiming for coming back on the air in the Spring. Yay.
  10:30pm
Ike:

Love the show! Look forward to your return.
  10:35pm
Dave M:

Thanks, Ike.

Wendy: Ha, Camembert Electrique would be perfect.
  10:48pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Dave, I'm not saying anything bad about any other DJs here, but your show hits the freeform radio nail right on the head. It's this sort of radio experience that's kept me listening to FMU since 1986. Viva la freeform!
  10:55pm
Dave M:

Aw, thanks.
  10:56pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

You're welcome. It's true!
  11:08pm
Ike:

About 20-30 seconds maybe?
  11:10pm
Dave M:

Whew. Not too bad.
  11:20pm
Natural Why:

I too am enjoying the water as the well is about to go on hiatus. Also, there are some hippy name generators out there, naturally (no hippy-name pun intended), but there don't seem to be any crazy hippy pseudonym generators. Perhaps Camembert Electrique can address this problem - not that there are any problems - only solutions, naturally - Damn it!
  11:39pm
John Davison:

Come back soon!
  11:42pm
Dave M:

Thanks. I'll try.
  12:00am
Dave M:

Night, everyone. Thanks for all your comments.
