Live in the studio, an intimate duo version of San Francisco's Judeo / global / avant ensemble Charming Hostess, with founder / head hostess Jewlia Eisenberg accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Jason Ditzian. The duo introduce us to Jewlia's ambitious and passionate Charming Hostess Bowls Project - based on 1500 year old Judeo-Iraqi texts discovered on ancient Babylonian bowl amulets. Charming Hostess performs this repertoire at regular gigs but Jewlia is also currently raising funds to support the first gallery installation of the Bowls Project, at the Yerba Buena Arts Center in San Francisco from July 5 to August 22, 2010.
