Just sitting on the porch observing the crazy weather here and witnessed some transformers malfunctioning. Actually only heard it failing as massive blue electrical surges lit up the block. Looks like everyone around me lost power while I sit in my tower of functionality

It is weird. It looks like it’s only a few of the neighbors. Who knows. I do have decent power conditioners for my equipment, but none of it is actually in use now. What’s funny is that the houses that seem to have lost power are owned by their inhabitants while all is lowly renters seem to have been spared.
