1) I work during the week. Saturdays and Sundays are the only days I can volunteer.

2) Did it last year. Spent most of my shift sitting next to Ken. He didn't kill me, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

3) I'm a receptionist, so giving good phone is how I earn a living. Plus I did 6 years of phone volunteer shifts at...uh..*cough* that OTHER radio station in the Bronx, before they stopped using phone volunteers. So I think I'm good to go. :)

Errata: Hello, archive listeners! On the show I misidentify "The Last Thing on My Mind" as a Gordon Lightfoot song. Listener Susannah reminded me that (of course) it was written by Tom Paxton. I also said that the Fairport live album that I played in the first set was recorded at a "second reunion show" before Cropredy became an annual event, but Cropredy actually started in 1976. The band also had their Farewell, Farewell tour in 1979, not 1977 or 1978. I'm sure I said some other incorrect things, so remember: Take what your DJ says with a grain of salt and some bicarbonate. :)

Scott Fagan:

Thank you for the play Joe, We did "I Am" for EPIC Records. David Woods, whose Father Harry Woods wrote "Try A Little Tenderness" did the beautiful arrangement. David was the Guitar man for Dave Van Ronk and his Hudson Dusters. I am about to go into the studio in Memphis to finally record my 1971 anti music business Rock Opera "SOON". It took 53 years to find a label that would do it. FIRE RECORDS, London, has stepped up. Thanks again Joe, WFMU has the best listeners in the world!!
