Ahoy, Devon & Islanders!

Never heard of this one, likely because it was a rated R film.

Why has it taken this long for any comparison of Damo & CAN to James Brown to percolate up to my conscious awareness...

I had a ticket to go see him a couple years ago but the damn guvmint was giving him problems with his visa so the show was cancelled.

Now that I'm hearing this, I'm getting a good idea of what an influence Can must have been on Thom Yorke & Radiohead.

Damo Suzuki what a frontman. Can… one of the best bands period!

despite the album title. "soundtracks" was not aware can did this much film work... was a "no brainer" for paul thomas anderson to use vitamin c in inherent vice

It's also in the TV show Preacher.

But how many Monster Movies did they work on? Not enough.

tom tom the pipers son:

off topic but, stork played plastic ono band for yoko ono's birthday, that three piece band plus yoko made me make the compoarison with can. i kind of see it but can't explain it... immediacy, simplicity, raw-ness(?)

good point, endurance is an element in can playing as well as listening to it, the listener makes a commitment

So many interesting early 70's flicks I've never heard of with Can's involvement...must look into these, when I get the chance.
