it used to irk me that spinal tap was distilled to "it goes to 11" in our pop culture, but I realized over time that getting *any* kinda cultural moniker like that really just means that your art made it. and I seem to recall Harry Shearer embracing it in an interview or something, which also made it feel more ok..

rajasthan, i see is the largest state in india. the vibrato is identifiable to me as indian but used differently than what i'mm used to hearing, and the instrumentation was different than what i'm used to in indian music

I got this Sato Michihiro album 30 years ago at a shop in Tokyo when I was living nearby, and still love it. If I'd stayed in Japan a second year, I think I would have found a shamisen teacher and learned to play it.
