Was just reading Chris Welch’s book on Yes. In it there’s a footnote about Vincent Gallo saying the best moment of his life was going to dinner with Chris Squire, and the second best was with Jon Anderson (or vice versa).

Yes, of course. Buffalo 66. Which I only saw in parts years ago. But never forgot the scene in the strip club using the Heart of the Sunrise bass groove stomp. Was surreal. Gotta see it again.

I like that Argento movie, I think it might be Inferno, where the mean guy who drowns cats gets attacked by a swarm of rats. The Three Mothers trilogy is must-watch Argento, even if the 3rd one isn't quite as strong as the first two. The scene where the old man uses the scrying orb to scan Asia Argento's eyeball to see if she is telling the truth is pretty crazy.

The esoteric Latin, something like "Dat Rosa Mel Apibus," scrawled on the wall in gold leaf print in the dance school always reminds me of the summoning box from Hellraiser which is also decorated in gold designs. There's also a rose flowering on the television screen in the psych ward within the movie Hellraiser. I suspect that Clive Barker was a fan of Dario's Suspiria.
