jejeje, glad someone else got it. honestly, kawai desu, as in cute, was recent in japanese slang (according to my japanese friends). I had blonde hair until i was 16, and japanese school girls would rub my head say 'kawai desu'! while i blushed myself scarlet....

i just watched the japanese show, alice in borderland, that helped bring some back. also, in the show invasion, about 20% of the dialog is in japanese, which helps even more, b/c it's interwoven w/ english and french conversations (i had a lot of japanese friends who intersperse their japanese w/ english, and vice versa...

i used to go to montreal for the Mutek festival every year 2005-2011. it's how i learned french. then i tried it in Paris in 2012... nope...(so different). it also helps everyone in Montreal speaks English....(i'd stay w/ friends there)
