Thorsten Quaeschning, Tangerine Dream founder Edgar Froese's appointed leader upon his death in 2015 (and longest member after Froese), discusses the band's soundtrack legacy along with its current (and longest ever) tour, the 3-month "From Virgin to Quantum Years" Tour, in support of the latest album "Raum." Thorsten got his start in 2003 with TD as a studio engineer for Froese before becoming a fulltime recording and touring member in 2005. Go to tangerinedreammusic.com.

- for instance - people who say they 'don't like Classical' - getting powerfully moved by Music that's essentially the same Form - cause it's in the 'background' of a Movie - & they never even *realize* it ! Film in other words is a boundary breaker this way.
The 'Music of our Subconscious' as I believe Hal Wilner said in the liner notes to a Carl Stalling CD...
As well as Soundtrack having a wide-open palette overlapping even with Foley - which is one thing I love & admire about it ...but I digress...

Yes, most of those early Tykwer were solid. (The one you mentioned above was Fabu!)-is that movie any good ?
Really thrilled to Bill Nelson’s Cabinet of Dr.Caligari soundtrack back in the early 1980s
- also, Wendy Carlos’ beauty & the beast was lovely.
