None. Always thought it an curious choice to just toss the accusation out to people giving him the briefest bit of attention, and expecting what from us...immediate acceptance? Accumulating skepticism? Was it bitterness based in reality? BS? Who's to know? And how many times a day or a year was he making the charge? Do others make the same charge?

That's interesting, still b/p, because I associate a similar story about the pirate Buffett with the town in which I grew up, Whittier, CA., which is about as far from Key West as you can get. Some local claimed Buffett stole "Margaritaville" from him.

Stop me if you've heard this one before....but, in the early 90s I was working part time for a well known London classifieds paper. I was out at lunchtime one day with the editor, Eileen, and we were queuing in a shop when I suddenly saw Brian Eno walk past. I was amazed, and then he turned to us and said 'Hi Eileen' and she replied' Hello Brian.' Afterwards, I said "You KNOW Brian Eno?" She said "Oh yes, that's Brian, he lives next door."
