Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from September 1, 2023 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

probably true, to a degree.
but i didn't "let" it happen; there was no avoiding the radio as a child, and only 1 station, basically.
but it is a rather trite melody; and the long chant ending was a gimmick... and it's not like i wasn't as equally over-exposed to many other songs that have aged much better.

No I don't think they're above Critique. The piriformis muscle has its origin upon the front surface of the (sacred) sacrum, and inserts onto the greater trochanter of the femur. It is innervated by the piriformis nerve. I heard in anatomy class that the nerve can go thru the muscle in some people. Everyone's different. We were taught to stretch it a certain way or have them lay on their back, knees bent. Then put one ankle on the opposite knee in a tailor's pose. And find a stretch there. Lifting the leg that holds the ankle. But, i KNOW that doesn't work for everyone.
I'm sure a super knowledgeable physiotherapy therapist or PT could help. Maybe a great massage therapist but the level of instruction has gone down and varies from state to state.

HELLO to Uncle Michael! I had a friend in the Army who introduced me to "The Taste," later just "Taste." He was crazy about the band, but was unaware of Rory Gallagher at that time. He said we should go see Emerson, Lake and Palmer when they came to the(now defunct) Long Beach(CA) Auditorium in 1971. 16th row center tickets, $6.50 each. But the takeaway for both of us was the appearance of the opening act, a new and up-and-coming band, John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra. Great performance by both groups, but our ears will never be the same!
