i don't think that's entirely wrong. if you tear lettuce it courses a natural path between cells, so it won't oxidize as quickly as cutting it, which will cut through cells.
but if you're eating it fairly soon it doesn't matter.
  9:36pm

You don't care if you bruise lettuce? That's asteraceae abuse, I hope you realize.

I saw an early concert in the Stop Making Sense tour, and as an audience member having no idea what was going to happen, the experience was utterly astounding and (I felt) musically fantastic. It was one of the great live music experiences of my life.
And with that said, I have to leave to watch the 11 o'clock news, in case something has happened somewhere. Thanks a lot, Charlie!

i think what went wrong with talking heads (and of course some would say NOTHING did)
was they realised the formula, exaggerated it, simplified it, popified it for the masses...and lost the cynical edge that started them going in the first place.

The Remain in Light band was beyond good. I walked to the show on a hot Summer night and was totally disoriented walking home.

i somehow never saw them perform. my older brother really liked them and saw them many times. remain in light by far his favorite album.
could only rave about that tour's band.
strangely, despite remain in light being probably more Eno-influenced than any other 'heads album, he never embraced Eno.
