I only drive twice a week now. I used to drive four times a week when I had to get to places with a bag of heavy gear for roller hockey.

Until about 3 weeks ago, the bane of my existence was my new neighbours regularly parking me in and scratching my car.

I almost never drive in the Sydney CBD. It's gotten worse overall IMHO. They reintroduced "light rail" through the CBD centre and moved the bus routes to the sides of the CBD.

I kind of struggled with the NYC transit system when I visited in 2016. Listener Danny D had invited me to see a New Jersey Devils NHL game and the subway system confused me.

In my home city of Melbourne and my home of 20 years Sydney, where you get to the train platform, monitors state exactly which other stations the next trains will stop at. It's just so useful.

Hey, tom tom. Glad it's Friday. It's been rough on the family front. My oldest sister has to go to a nursing home. She's got physical and cognitive issues. She's 76. She had been taking care of our mom who is 97. Mom has dementia, but she's in relatively good shape physically for her age. My brother and his wife are caring for Mom. They all live in the same house.

Sydney's public transport system usually has massive failure when it rains too much. Buses get increasingly late. Some train stations get flooded badly. My second nearest train station: www.facebook.com...

wow, that certainly is rough, didn't know i was asking a loaded question, my mom 87, broke her hip last winter and the anesthesia for surgery may have had some effect on her cognitively, so i'm a little familiar with the worry but not to your degree.

a while back a friend of mine was working in the public theater and someone was playing piano in one of the theaters and she went in and there was this guy there and she had a harmonica and he asked her if she wanted to jam. she didn't realize it at first, but it was sam shepard.

Trolley is pretty good. They supplement the subway line in the city too. Underground trolley is an experience. High-pitched shrieking sound on the tracks.
