I was told using such found pictures is discouraged because of the legal liabilities. Not that young artists have anything worth suing for, but potential liabilities are something galleries look at.

They played at the Capitol Theater in my hometown of Port Chester, NY. Everyone who played the Fillmore also played the Capitol. It was legendary and it was around the corner from where we lived. My older sibs and cousins saw lots of shows there. It closed by the time I was old enough to go. It reopened several years ago, but I don't live there anymore. I'm a transplanted New Jerseyan.

I once came close to moving to NJ. My first and only attempt at UI design was so popular I was offered a job in Morristown. I declined because I knew it was a fluke, and I had a dim view of NJ at the time. I didn't know about WFMU then, might have never found the station had I taken this job

I've always had a fond place in my heart for New Jersey. I would often stay with friends who lived in West New York when I was visiting Manhattan. They lived right on the Hudson, so I would stare at NYC from the end of there street. I like peace and quite, so looking over the river at mid-town I would often think - not today, I can't take the racket.

I was in Paris for a six-week bourse at Alliance Francaise in 1981 after graduating high school. I lived with a sponsor in Levallois. Actually half the street was in Paris. It was on the 12th floor of a high-rise. School was on Boulevard Raspail.

It is weird! Once a former girlfriend and I drove across the country in Winter, camping outside the entire way. When we got to New Jersey, we drove into some creepy woods and both agreed if we close our eyes in there we might get murdered.

We slept on the New Jersey Turnpike that night.

Haha…funny: I read in the chats often about folks responding to TCM programming! Love it. Along with WFMU, it’s my go-to “background culture”. When ya get a chance Krys, appreciate the title of that docu on film archivists. TCM has had a stellar run with great documentaries this month! - wish they would feature more of these types each month.
My DVR is overfilled w/TCM recordings. Both of those epic Mark Cousins history of “art films” documentaries are jaw-dropping! Both are over 15 hours!!!

The fatal flaw is each of them thinks they are. Then again, they're still to see a mirror and not fall in love

There are lots of political interpretations about the symbolism. Yellow brick road, Oz = ounce, etc.

No worries, fred. No reason to kick. You're always welcome. I was just voicing my opinion about Rand Paul and his loathsome father, Ron. Wasn't directed at you.
